African Species of Aloe are consistently of a higher content of aloens than any of other continents. I'm an agent for one of the top Aloe Ferox based cosmetics companies in South Africa. For many years I have watched the growth of this industry and eventually came to the conclusion that the product best to represent would be the very one that I have chosen. This product is completely free of impure additives which is very important to me. My early years in South Africa I was involved with a very well known Cosmetic house and whilst there I gathered invaluable experience and knowledge in the field of cosmetics.

FACT ABOUT FATS IN LABELING
Some of the Labeling of products can be misleading. For instance the following: -
FAT FREE not entirely true, Fat Free products are still allowed to contain 0.15% fats
LOW FAT means that the product containsless than 1.5% fat in Liquids and less than 3% fat in solids.
REDUCED FAT means that the reduction of fat has been 25% of normal fat content
LIGHT or LITE means lighter in colour or even in content.ALL-NATURAL means completely Natural but nay still contain high levels of fat.
CHOLESTEROL FREE or NO CHOLESTEROL means that the Fat is Mono-unsaturated and will not lead to heart disease

Sunscreens!
The importance of protection against the sun is extreme. Especially in the Southern Hemisphere! There are many things that one can do to protect yourselves against Sun Burn. Wearing a wide-brimmed hat, long sleeved shirts and long trousers, Sunglasses and, last but not least, a good sunscreen cream.
Which brings to mind the question of which creams are harmful? And if any, which creams are safe to use? One should check for things like Diethanolamine and Triethanolamine, these are both possible carcinogens and parabens which possibly mimic oestrogen in the body. A safer choice would be zinc oxide. A true blocker of ultraviolet rays
Again, I would recommend firstly, a cream that is of a Plant extract and my obvious choice would be from the Cape Aloe (Aloe Ferox)

IRRADIATION OF FOOD.
This method is used to reduce food spoilage and extends the shelf life. Food is exposed to a source of Radioactive waves to destroy micro organisms such as mould, yeast and bacteria. The foods actually do not come into direct contact with the Radio Active source so therefor it does not become Radio Active.
However!. it has been found that some foods do lose some nutrients (these nutrients help toward protection against cancer or other diseases). Irradiation also sometimes changes the taste of certain foods.

Getting Fresh...First and foremost to get fresh fruit and vegetables is to grow your own. Otherwise if you have to buy your fresh veg then only buy what is in season. Also buy in small quantities which may mean shopping often, but at least the food is always fresh
