We recently did this custom design for a patient who loves both chess and music. Two different worlds to combine in one prosthesis. It came out beautiful and we as well as the patient was so chuffed with it.

''How does a prosthetic leg stay on your body?".

This is one of the most common questions we get asked in the pracitce. Understandibly so, as it is difficult to envision how an external device stay in place without falling off. The answer is quite simple - we use suspension systems such as locks, vacuum systems and liners. This is usually as I would say the 'glue' that keeps it all together.
