🌍 Building a Better Makhanda, One Block at a Time

We’re so proud to be one of the first businesses to partner with the SEF Recycled Paving Project—and what a rewarding journey it’s been!

This incredible local initiative creates opportunities for unemployed community members to earn an income and learn valuable skills. By collecting and recycling glass and plastic waste, they produce eco-friendly paving blocks that are both practical and sustainable.

After months of planning, the team recently laid the beautiful new pavement outside Opposite the Arch—and it fits perfectly with our efforts to enhance the pavements and gardens around our building. It’s not just about improving our space, but contributing to the heart and soul of Makhanda.

It feels good to be part of something that uplifts people and the planet. 🌱
