The Department of Health – Greater Taung Sub-District visited Mokgareng Secondary School as part of TB Awareness Month, as the Mokgareng village is a TB hotspot.
The visit focused on educating learners about TB signs and symptoms, prevention methods, treatment options, and the importance of early testing and completing treatment. Learners were well informed, actively engaged, and participated meaningfully through questions and discussions.
Through TB Awareness Month, we continue to strengthen awareness, reduce stigma, and encourage responsible health-seeking behaviour among young people and the broader community.
