Running in Zone 2 builds your aerobic base.
Making your body more efficient at using oxygen and burning fat for fuel.

Slowly increasing your pace and mileage gives your body more time to adapt to the exercise and the body is less likely to break down.

We’ve all seen pro athletes utilize recovery protocols that include cold therapy, heat therapy, compression therapy etc.

The logical conclusion is “Well, if a professional athlete is doing this to recover and they are performing better than most, it must be that these things work”.

Yes, but to a point. Remember a professional athlete is looking for that 1% extra that would give them an EDGE over their competitors. These recovery protocols work, because these pro’s have the 99%, -> the not so flashy BASICS absolutely DIALED IN. They are getting consistent good quality SLEEP and fueling their body with good quality NUTRITION on a consistent basis.

You can’t OUT TRAIN a BAD DIET and you definitely can’t OUT PAY POOR RECOVERY. Your money is better spent on THE BASICS.

Too many times we are worried about posture at work and almost developing a complex about it.

The best posture is a comfortable posture, your body gives you warnings during the day, maybe your neck or shoulder is feeling a bit stiff, that’s your cue to start moving.

If two people, Person A and Person B sit still for 8 hours,
Person A: Sits upright with all the “correct” angles and measurements.
Person B: Sits comfortably, not worrying too much about the nitty gritty details.
Both will be sore/stiff after 8 hours, just in different places, it’s the 8 hours that’s the problem.

How to avoid these aches and pains? Just Move!
- Change Positions
- Go for a walk
- Some stretching when you have a gap
- Do the opposite of what you’ve been doing the whole day! JUST MOVE
