Follow-up sessions may vary slightly depending on your condition, goals, and progress, but 45 minutes is usually the sweet spot for effective treatment and personalised care.

Living in Harties makes staying active feel almost effortless!

When the Magaliesberg is on your doorstep, a simple walk can turn into a mini adventure, and even a gentle hike gives your legs, lungs, and balance a good workout without feeling like “exercise.”

The dam adds its own magic with options like paddling or slow weekend strolls along the water, which are great for your core and to reduce your stress levels. Even wandering through markets or farm stalls counts as movement here.

Some injuries can heal without any intervention or with a bit of rest but if your mobility and efficiency is not the best, it can also affect other parts of your life. When I’m not in the practice or training in the gym, you’ll most likely find me at the stables of Le Godimo . There’s something about spending time with horses that instantly slows life down. Riding has always been my reset button, a way to clear my mind, move with purpose, and reconnect with the simple joy of being outdoors and with my horse - Callaho Luciano.

It’s not about competition or perfection for me. It’s about the quiet moments: brushing a horse after a ride, the rhythm of his hooves on the ground, the feeling of being completely present. That time away from the clinic helps me recharge, refocus, and come back to my patients with fresh energy and a calm mind.

Dry Needling vs Acupuncture – What’s the Difference?

Physiotherapy uses a technique called DRY NEEDLING and not acupuncture. They might look similar, but these two techniques are actually quite different.

Acupuncture comes from traditional Chinese medicine. It focuses on restoring the body’s energy flow, or “qi,” by placing fine needles along specific meridian points. It is often used to balance overall wellness and relieve stress, pain, or tension.

Dry Needling is a modern physiotherapy technique that targets trigger points – those tight knots in your muscles that cause pain or limit movement. The goal is to release tension, improve blood flow, and restore normal muscle function.

Both use fine needles, but the approach and intention are different. Acupuncture treats the body’s energy systems, while dry needling treats the muscles directly.
