Why should you do M.A.P Movement?

MAP Movement (Myofascial Activated Postural Movement)

It’s a movement therapy approach rooted in fascia science and physiotherapy, not focused on muscles alone, but on the connective tissue that holds everything together.

We work with your body’s fascia, its 3D internal ‘wetsuit’, helping you hydrate it, move it, and restore its natural spring so you can feel at home in your skin again.

We have MAP Movement classes Monday to Thursday. Book your spot with a qualified MAP Movement Trainer on 082 899 0431

At the heart of MAP Movement lies a simple yet powerful truth: your body was designed to move with ease, fluidity, and awareness.

The MAP approach is built on a set of principles that guide every class and every movement:
1️⃣ 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – Fascia thrives on movement. Rolling, shearing, and breath help move water through your tissue, restoring glide and elasticity.
2️⃣ 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 – Reawakening the body’s natural springiness improves resilience and helps fascia remodel with elasticity.
3️⃣ 𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 – Movement flows when tension and space are balanced; fascia connects every part of you through this dynamic structure.
4️⃣ 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – Awareness of your body in space builds safety, coordination, and freedom of movement.
5️⃣ 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – Your body’s built-in reset. A natural stretch-and-yawn that rehydrates, reorganises, and restores.

Together, these principles teach you to create space, move into that space, and rediscover what effortless movement really feels like.

Low back pain has quietly become a global epidemic. And yet, most treatment models still focus on the 𝘴𝘺𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘰𝘮, not the 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮.

With MAP Movement, we see the body as a three-dimensional, fluid, fascial network, not a stack of isolated parts. The fascia in your back connects to everything from your breath to your feet, meaning that when your “wetsuit” tightens through prolonged sitting, stress, or fear of movement, pain becomes the body’s way of asking for change.

Through fascia-based movement, hydration, and gentle re-education, we restore glide, rebuild confidence, and help you move 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵.

Because when you free the fascia, you free the movement. And when you free the movement, the pain no longer has a place to live.

♥️ Breathe is Life 🙌🏻

When movement reconnects you not just to your body, but to your Creator. 🌿

Soraja’s journey with MAP began in 2016, at a time when migraines, pain, and postural tension had become part of her everyday life. Through Lené’s classes, she discovered what it truly means to move with purpose, restoring posture, ease of movement, and trust in her body’s design.

More than that, MAP became a place of spiritual connection and renewal. A reminder that the body is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that healing often begins with awareness, breath, and grace.

Her words are a testament to how movement can be more than physical; it can be a pathway to wholeness and rediscovering oneself.

In the world of fascia, ageing is the process of drying out.

Think of it like a tomato left too long in the cupboard. Once plump and full of fluid, it slowly softens, shrinks, and loses its bounce. Our fascia behaves in much the same way. As we age or recover from injury, our connective tissue can lose hydration, becoming less supple and more prone to stiffness.

But the good news is rehydration is possible!

Through movement, breath, gentle bounces, and fascial release, we help restore glide, stimulate lymph flow, and encourage fresh collagen to form.

In MAP, we don’t fight the aging process, we train the body to age well, staying mobile, strong, and connected in the body you call home.
