To our clients, partners, and supporters—thank you for trusting us, standing by us, and being part of this journey. Your health matters. Your well-being matters. We urge you to continue prioritising your health and supporting one another.

This may be the end of one chapter, but our commitment to LGBT+ health, dignity, and advocacy remains unshaken.

We remember their names! Neliseka “Nelly” Xeke, a 28-year-old le***an, was found on 17 June 2024 with severe wounds near a tavern in Motherwell, Nelson Mandela Bay. She was reportedly killed after intervening in a domestic dispute.

OUT LGBT Well-being's We Remember campaign aims to raise awareness of the disturbing number of deadly attacks against LGBTIQ+ people in South Africa this year.

We are honouring each of the known individuals brutally murdered in suspected hate crimes in 2024. Each victim was a person with a life, friends, family, and loved ones.

To address the wave of violent attacks targeting LGBTQ+ individuals on dating apps, Engage Men’s Health recently hosted a series of safe spaces on online dating safety.

Held at our Braamfontein site in Johannesburg and at our locations in Gqeberha and East London, these sessions explored how these crimes happen, ways to stay safe, and what to do if you or someone you know becomes a victim.

Our Story

Ten81 Centre in Colbyn (Hatfield), in Tshwane provides free HIV, s*xual health and other services tailored to the needs of the LGBT (Le***an, Gay, Bis*xual and Transgender) community, and MSM (Men who have S*x with Men).

The Ten81 Centre is located at OUT’s offices, a short walk from the Hatfield Gautrain Station, offers two full time nurses and a counsellor. All services are free, and include:

HIV Counselling and Testing (HCT)

Provision of Pre Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
