Every morning, we face a choice...

🌟 Follow me for more daily habits to help you live a healthy, balanced life without diets!

This morning, I woke up motivated to start my day with intention. I spent some quiet time with God, sipped my tea, and got a hug from my little early riser. Then, I faced a choice: do I dive into my to-do list or take time for myself first?

I paused and asked, “What would the woman I want to become choose?” So, I went for a short run.

When I returned, the house buzzed, and “Mom Mode” was in full swing. And yes, there was less morning work time, but it felt right. I knew I could catch up later. This small act reminded me that prioritizing health—even in little ways—is part of becoming who I want to be.

Consistency over perfection... If you're striving to eat perfectly during the week only to indulge in everything you avoided over the weekend, it might be time to find a better balance.

Remember, you don’t have to eat "perfectly" every day to make progress. No one is perfect, so don’t set yourself up for failure.

If you feel caught in a cycle of strict dieting followed by bingeing, and you’re tired of it, know that you can break free! Start by embracing a bit of balance—don’t aim for perfection, but focus on making sustainable changes that you can maintain.

Sometimes we wake up all psyched up, ready to change the world in one day! But it can be discouraging when, not long after, we feel defeated because we can’t do it all. My encouragement is not to set yourself up for failure by trying to tackle everything at once. Start with one or two things you can add to your routine every day or every week.

For example, try eating a home-cooked meal, adding fruit or seeds to your cereal for extra fibre, or grating a carrot into your mince to boost your veggie intake. You could also take the stairs instead of the elevator.

Remember, every journey starts with the first step!

From my kitchen to yours... I made this yummy quiche using what I had and it turned being one of my favourites of all time😁

Recipe:

Pre cook diced butternut (I made it in the microwave) & spinach (I used frozen spinach).
Combine 5 eggs and heaped 3 tablespoons of yoghurt (I used full cream).
Add flavouring (I used garlic flakes, black pepper & chicken spice)

Spray a pie dish with non-stick spray and place vegetables at the bottom and add egg mixture.

Top with feta cheese and bake for 45 min or until everything set.

Enjoy with a salad 🥗
