During my private practice journey, there were countless times when the kids couldn't tell me their birth date, or when I'd ask about their day or the date, they would struggle to answer. Seeing this filled me with sadness because I knew there was a way to change this and help them feel empowered.

When we teach kids foundational skills like knowing their full name, birthday and the date, we're doing so much more than helping them remember facts. These simple, yet vital skills give children a sense of security and identity. They help them feel grounded and ready to tackle the world with confidence.

By integrating these skills into their routines or discussing it in context, you'll give them the tools they need to feel safe, now and in future. It's more than just a skill; it's a gift for their mental and emotional growth.
