This isn’t nervous system healing in the dramatic sense. It’s something quieter: learning to hear yourself again.

🌀 Six weeks | Online | Small group | Breathwork & somatic practices

Not a breakdown. Not a crisis. Just that low hum of tension you’ve carried so long it’s started to feel like personality.

Over six weeks, the Gentle Nervous System Journey guides you through a deeply human, body-based exploration of nervous system regulation — one week at a time, at whatever pace feels right.

This is yours to shape.

🌱Join the live online sessions,
🌿Watch the recordings in your own time, or
🌳Fully immerse yourself in the practices between weeks — however you choose to show up is enough.

Week by week, you’ll move from creating a felt sense of inner safety, to noticing your default stress responses, to finding moments of quiet ease in the ordinary — and slowly, gradually, building the capacity to return to yourself after activation.

There is room to breathe inside this🌬

Some of the most powerful things we can do are quiet ones.
Mayura Life is proud to be sponsoring a raffle prize at this year's Izibusiso Annual Ladies Breakfast — and if you're in Hermanus, this is one morning you don't want to miss.
🌈 Walking into a Rainbow of New Possibilities
📍 Hermanus Golf Club | Next Wednesday
🎤 Featuring Joy Collective — song and poetry

Izibusiso ("blessings" in Xhosa) is a foster home in Zwelihle caring for abandoned and vulnerable children from birth to six years old. Some arrive just hours old. For many, it is their very first experience of a warm, safe home.
The organisation is run by a team of dedicated volunteers from the Hermanus community who give of themselves — consistently, quietly, and without condition.

This annual event raises the funds that keep those homes going. And every year, it is simply wonderful.
Giving isn't only about the moment it makes us feel good. It's about recognising the people who pour themselves into something every single day — and saying: we see you, and we're with you.

We are a gentle nervous system journey. Six weeks. Online. Starting July 2026.

There is no shortage of information about the nervous system. Courses, books, frameworks, science. And yet for most people, knowing about something and actually feeling the difference in your daily life are two very different things.

This programme is built around that gap.

The Gentle Nervous System Journey: Sense of Self is not packed with theory. It is practical, simple, and designed to be woven into an ordinary day — because that is the only place real change can actually take root.

Each week offers a theme and a set of tools to explore. Not to study. To try, to notice, to return to. Simple practices drawn from years of working with real people — tools that have quietly made a difference, not because they are complicated, but because they are honest and they are consistent.

The six weeks move through noticing, awareness, finding moments of ease, meeting the harder moments with more compassion, building a personal toolkit, and finally — pausing to take in what has shifted, however subtly.

You don't need to turn your life upside down to do this work. You just need a few minutes each day, and a genuine willingness to pay attention.

This sits comfortably alongside whatever else you are already doing — your therapy, your medical care, your other practices. It is not a replacement for any of those things. It is something you can bring into the spaces between them. A quiet, consistent return to yourself.

This is for anyone who senses something needs to shift, but isn't sure where to begin. Or who has tried other things and is ready to come at it from a different direction — through the body, through breath, through the small and honest moments of a real day.

Online. Small group. Held with care.
Starting July 2026. Spaces are limited.

We are movement. But not the kind where you have to perform.

We begin each class with stillness and an enquiry.
What does my body feel like now?
What does my breath feel like?
How have I arrived in class today?

These are not warm-up questions. They are the practice itself — and everything that follows is simply a continuation of that same honest conversation.

Mayura Life yoga classes are not about precision. They are an ongoing invitation to pay attention to the wisdom of your body, the breath being that quiet, consistent call back to your inner dialogue.
Tammy offers the guidance, but your breath and your body are the ultimate teachers.

Each pose a chance to listen and respond to what your body is asking for in the moment. As you move, the enquiry continues as sensations to recognise;
Can you feel the breath expanding into this pose?
Can you feel what lingers when you release?
Does your body wish to move faster, or go deeper, or is it looking for stillness?

This is not passive. It is one of the most courageous forms of self-awareness there is — to move through something and keep listening, staying in conversation, and honouring what your body is asking for.

We are breath. And breath has been trying to tell you something for a long time.

Take a breath right now. Not a performed one. Just notice the one that's already there.

Is it shallow? Held slightly? Sitting high in your chest? Or did reading that question make you take a deeper one — because somewhere in your body, it recognised that it needed it?

This is breath awareness, one of the most honest things anyone can do.

Your breath is automatic, like your heart beat, digestion, blood pressure, all working without your involvement.
Your breath however sits at the intersection of what your body does on its own and what you can consciously influence.

When your nervous system is under stress — even the quiet, low-level kind that most of us carry without naming — your breath shortens. It becomes shallower. It moves higher into the chest. Your body is doing exactly what it is designed to do: conserving, protecting, preparing.

But when that pattern becomes the default, the body stops being able to tell the difference between a real threat and simply being alive.

This is not a flaw, it is a story. Like all stories, it can be heard differently.

The way you breathe reflects how safe your nervous system feels. And when you begin to breathe differently — slowly, consciously, with attention and without force — the nervous system starts to receive a different message. One breath at a time, it begins to learn: I am being heard, I can soften, I can allow myself to let go.

This is what breathwork is for Mayura Life, an invitation to enquire about the deeply human nature of our personal experience. Not to perform, not to pretend, or force, or fake it till you make it, just an honest way to begin listening to yourself again.

Through Mayura Life, Tammy offers private or group experiences to explore this enquiry. These sessions are intuitive, your breath at the time driving the experience for what your body needs, and is ready for.

IMD Breathwork is another avenue offered by Tammy, this is experienced with headphones offering you precision crafted journey that guides you through an immersive soundscape of sound frequencies, binaural beats, and subliminal messaging.

We are not singular. And we were never meant to be.

Soft and bold. Still and expressive. Nervous system regulation and creative liberation. Linen and silence alongside African prints and bass frequencies.

This is not contradiction. This is coherence.

The strongest version of a person is not the one who has flattened themselves into a single mood, a single identity, a single way of showing up in the world. It is the one who has learned to hold all of it — with enough safety to let each part of themselves exist without apology.

That is what this brand is. That is what this work is for.

Because returning to yourself doesn't mean returning to one thing. It means returning to the full and honest truth of who you are — the quiet parts and the bold ones, the still and the expressive, the grounded and the wildly alive.

All of it belongs here. All of it belongs to you.

Did you notice anything new today?

Not everything we notice needs to be explained.

Sometimes we feel something shift, a moment, a sensation, a subtle change in how we move through the day… and then we immediately reach for words to make sense of it.

Noticing doesn’t require language, it requires presence.

There is something quietly powerful in simply acknowledging:
“I noticed that.”

Without needing to define it.
Without needing to explain it away.

Just the act of noticing is enough.

When was the last time you took a moment to pause and truly see?
Stop for a little while and look around…
Can you sense how much beauty is quietly waiting for you to notice?
It’s not loud or demanding, it’s simply there.

When you do notice it, the next question becomes, can you receive it?
Or do you rush past, already moving onto the next thing?

What if you paused here for just a breath or two longer?
Let your eyes rest and notice the textures, the contrast, the small, intricate details you would normally miss.

And as you do this, gently turn your attention inward.
What happens in your body when you allow yourself to take this in?
Is there a softening?
A quiet exhale?
A sense of enough, just for this moment?
Rather than rushing through, let the beauty land.
Let it nourish you.

You may even notice a sense of gratitude arise…
A quiet awe for the incredible details that surround you,
just waiting to be seen.
No performance.
No expectation.
Just a moment of presence.

Grateful to Springfontein for arranging this Breath & Yin moment under the Milkwoods.
A natural spring.
A forest of quiet.
A space that felt like a dream.
