💛 I wanted to share this post from my page because this is one of the most powerful tools I can offer women — especially if you’re feeling vulnerable, not good enough, or lacking confidence heading into Christmas gatherings.
If you’ve ever walked into a family event feeling self-conscious, judged, or like you don’t quite belong, this tool is for you.
It’s simple, science-informed, and incredibly grounding — and it has the potential to change how you experience this Christmas.
Take a few minutes to read the post and try the tool.
Sometimes the smallest shifts can make the biggest difference. 🎄✨
🎄 HOLIDAY HAPPINESS TOOL – TUESDAY CHRISTMAS SPECIAL 🎄
Adopt a Power Pose when you feel unsure or self-conscious ✨
💛A PERSONAL REFLECTION WHY THIS TOOL IS SO IMPORTANT TO ME
When I was an adolescent, I wasn’t the prettiest or the thinnest among my cousins. During a difficult period, I was chubby, self-conscious, and quietly ashamed of how I looked.
At Christmas gatherings, I remember trying to fade into the background, hoping not to be noticed.
I wish I had known then what I know now.
Christmas isn’t a beauty pageant.
It’s not about size or appearance.
It’s about connection, belonging, and being present.
This is one of the tools I wish I had had back then — and it’s one I now share with teenage girls, women, and parents.
✨ The Power Pose Tool
When we feel unsure, judged, or uncomfortable in family spaces, our body posture often collapses first — and our emotions follow.
🔻 LOW-POWER POSTURE
• shoulders slumped
• chest pulled inward
• arms folded or limp
• head bent forward
• body tense and closed
In this posture, the brain more easily pulls up old memories, past family tension, and self-critical thoughts. Low-power postures increase feelings of anxiety, defeat, and helplessness, making holiday stress and family friction feel heavier. 😔
🔺 HIGH-POWER POSTURE
• body upright and grounded
• shoulders back
• chest open
• head lifted
• arms strong or resting on hips
This posture sends a calm message to your nervous system:
🧠 “I’m safe. I’m steady. I can handle this.”
✨ This tool is especially powerful for:
• teenage girls
• women feeling self-critical
• anyone wishing they looked “different” this December
Your posture can gently remind your brain:
🌱 You are already enough.
