Excited is an understatement!!

We are so looking forward to welcoming our clients into our new facility tomorrow. We are still in Lucas Drive but now in Mafavuka Business Park.

If you are a One80 VIP client or if you have signed up to the One80 starting on the 31st August please join us this week for a “new facility integration week”.

COVID-19 Facility Protocols
- Most important: if you are feeling unwell please don’t attend gym sessions
- No more than 15 in each session
- Temperature check at the door
- Hand sanitizer at the door and throughout the gym
- Equipment sanitizer throughout the gym to be used by clients. All equipment is sanitized after every session
- No water cooler so please bring your own water bottle.
- Please bring your own full sized bath towel to place on the training mats. Feel free to bring your own mat if you prefer.
- When taking part in vigorous exercise you are not required to wear a mask but feel free to train in a mask if you prefer.

You're working out, your muscles are screaming, sweat is pouring down your face and the blood is pumping. You're feeling good and like you really worked out and pushed yourself to the limit which is great because when your screaming muscles repair they'll be bigger and stronger.
But that’s the key: your muscles need to rest and repair.

This is where rest and Active recovery comes in. Sometimes this can mean taking a day off but generally we're not telling you to sit on the couch for a week. You still need to be somewhat active, getting out there and hitting those point goals--you still need to earn your smoothies people!

Active recovery would still involve a workout however, it would be something lighter. An "easy day" workout at a lower intensity level than usual. Active recovery and rest days can speed up the recovery process and reduce the risk of injury ensuring you never HAVE to have time off.
Active recovery could be in the form of a gentle spinning or swimming session, these activities may be new and not what your body is used to. They work different muscle groups and are also low impact. You could also extend yourself to something like Pilates or yoga and get a good stretch and core work out.
An active recovery day can differ from person to person you could even use it as an opportunity to get out doors with your family and walk the dog or go for an easy hike! 🏕️
