Parenting a 13 AND a 4 year old single handed sometimes has me wanting to run for the door (especially this weekend where the dreaded chicken pox has made an appearance and sent my youngest straight back to the days of separation anxiety fueled breakdowns!). The hormone induced mood swings of my eldest and then the boundary testing of my youngest is frustrating to say the least BUT, with a big deep breath, I remind myself that they are just children being children. Sometimes it is hard to stay in the parent role but it can be done!
