A testimonial for SARDA Durban and the Therapeutic Horse Riding Programme

I am writing to share with you the incredible impact that horse riding has had on my daughter's life. Since she started riding, I have seen significant improvements in her physical and emotional well-being.

Horse riding has taught her discipline, responsibility, and balance, which have translated to other areas of her life. Her confidence and self-esteem have soared, and she has developed a sense of empathy and compassion for animals.

Physically, horse riding has improved her strength, flexibility, and coordination. Emotionally, it has helped her develop coping skills, patience, and perseverance.

I am so grateful for the positive influence horse riding has had on my daughter's life.

“In riding a horse, freedom and Independence become a reality”

Are you looking for something that makes your heart full, your hands busy and gives you a great sense of contribution?
We would love to have you join us for 2 hours a week as a Volunteer at SARDA (South African Riding for the Disabled)
NO previous experience is necessary as we provide all your training. There are other options to Volunteer if you are not physically able to walk with the children and horses, just
give us a call.

SARDA Durban would love you to join their team of Awesome Volunteers 🤗
We need your Hearts ❤️ and Hands 🤲to help make a difference in the lives of the special children enrolled in our Therapeutic Horse Riding Programme 🐴
We will be running a Volunteer Workshop on Thursday 1st February 2024 at the home of SARDA Durban, Eden View, 4 Assagay Crescent Assagay from 9:30am - 11:30am No previous experience necessary. Come along to experience the joy of working with horses and children with special needs.💞

It’s a wrap! The SARDA Durban riding program for 2023 has come to an end and we would like to thank every single person who has donated, sponsored or supported SARDA Durban, we absolutely cannot run this program without you and we cannot express how much we appreciate you. Thank you to our very special volunteers who without them we could not continue to make a difference in the lives of so many children. We thank our dedicated instructors Ros Hill and Sonja Rahn who lead each session with care and inspire the children to grow and reach for more as they progress throughout the program. Thank you to Ed and Carey who host SARDA Durban and go above and beyond giving of their time and efforts to improve the facilities. Thank you to Natasha Parker who provides the four legged therapists Midnight, Olaf and Princess who of course are the true stars and provide the children with love, learning, fun, physical and mental therapy. I would also like to thank the committee for their selfless efforts to take care of all the behind the scenes work to provide safety and security for the organisation.
Much love and many blessings to all as you share this time with loved ones. THANK YOU 🙏
