Health Basket started in 2010.

It was started by Margot and Craig. Both Margot and Craig are passionate about natural health and healing because of Margot's health. So it was started out of a personal search for health. Both Margot and Craig worked in the shop building Health Basket to a beautiful family based shop that serves the community, and it serves the community with respect, love and pure caring. The 3 ladies who assist in the shop are all just as passionate about people and their health. They are all well trained but are also still learning daily. They are all constantly doing courses to building their knowledge. Health Basket was purchased in 2023 by Lee and Josh Marais. Lee has been in the Natural health industry since October 2004 and is a Natural Health Practitioner seeing patients on a daily basis. She owns a wellness centre called Essential Health Wellness Centre which is a wonderful sister company to Health Basket. The ethos, care and authenticity with both companies remains at a high calibre. And our patients health and care is always at the very top of our agenda. Josh joined Essential Health to work in the family business in 2021 and has known about natural medication since birth and has always had an affinity to it. He has bought his fresh eyes and knowledge into the business building it even better with new innovative ideas and specialised products. Essential Health and Health Basket truly are a family business from inception.
