PROFILE - LYNNE BOYES
My venture into the world of thermal imaging and Ozone therapy springs from a deeply personal journey, one marked by trials and a fierce determination to reclaim my health. At 19, I faced the daunting challenge of a fractured spine in three places. Just two years later, a collision with a drunk driver left me with injuries to my head, neck, chest, and legs. Migraines became an unwelcome companion, erasing whole days from my memory. Then, in 2008, an embolism struck, a consequence of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) wreaking havoc on my heart. Ablation surgery followed, but my resilient heart quickly found its own bypass. The relentless battle against SLE, heart issues, and DCIS in one breast persisted for years, until a pivotal decision to transition from pharmaceuticals to alternative therapies changed everything. Ozone Therapy and Thermography became my newfound allies in my fight for health and vitality. Through these transformative practices, I discovered a path to healing that resonated with my body in a way that conventional treatments never had. Now, as a dedicated Certified Clinical Thermographer and Ozone practitioner, my mission is: to arm women with vital information, to inspire them to embrace healthier lifestyles, and to stand vigilant against the early signs of disease. Thermography, in particular, plays a crucial role by spotlighting abnormal inflammation, a precursor to many diseases. It unveils physiological shifts within the body, often preceding changes in anatomy. Its non-contact, non-invasive, and non-radioactive nature makes it a powerful tool. With the alarming rise in breast disease, I firmly believe that prevention holds greater value than cure. More and more women are incorporating thermograms into their annual check-ups, recognizing that an ounce of prevention is indeed worth a pound of cure. It's a privilege to share the effectiveness and accessibility of these therapies with others, knowing that they too can find their path to healing and renewed vitality. Lynne ran her practice for 8 years, from Weleda Pharmacy in Pineslopes Centre Fourways but has recently relocated to Hilton Kzn. Her mission is to empower women with important information that will motivate them to make healthy life-style choices in the hope of preventing disease or alerting them to the development of disease. Clinical Thermography - A GENTLE OUNCE OF PREVENTION
With the incidence of breast cancer on the rise prevention is now considered more valuable than cure. More and more women are now including the option of a thermogram in their annual check-up. Thermography can detect any inflammatory condition and is ideal for monitoring breast health. I believe in thermography, not only because it does not involve painful compression of breast tissue, which can lead to a lethal spread of cancerous cells should they exist, but more importantly because it does not radiate the breasts. Breast Thermography is a Non-Contact, Non-Invasive, Non-Radioactive Imaging technology that works under the laws of physics of thermodynamics and electromagnetic energy. This means that the concept of thermography is actual, proven science and physics that is being used in almost every aspect of our everyday lives whether we know it or not. There can be no dispute that the science of thermography is true and solid. Thermography has proven to be invaluable in almost every application that the analysis of temperature function is important. Why should medicine be any different? The use of thermography in breast imaging is to view the thermal patterns and temperatures of the breast and surrounding relevant areas of a woman’s body. Breast Thermography is a test of function and not structure. This means that it detects how the body is reacting to certain conditions. It does not detect actual structural problems such as tumors, lumps, cysts, fibroadenomas, etc. Rather, it sees how the body is reacting to these structural problems. Or in other words, Breast Thermography looks for signs of abnormal breast function. Thermography is in essence similar to the common practice of taking a patient’s temperature as one of their vital signs. Taking your temperature does not tell what disease is present; it tells you that there is a functional problem that needs to be investigated more deeply. However, an increase in core temperature is often an early warning sign that some sort of internal condition exists. Breast Thermography works in the same manner and with the same philosophy. Breast Thermography is not a stand-alone test and you will most likely have to use other tests such as, ultrasound mammography or MRI to investigate further or confirm what is being seen with thermography. WHY SHOULD WOMEN HAVE THERMOGRAMS? Breast Thermography will look for signs that there might be abnormal function of your breasts. Identifying these signs and knowing about them will give you a better understanding of what is happening with your breast health. By understanding this concept, you can now use Breast Thermography as a monitoring, early detection, and prevention tool. WHEN SHOULD WOMEN BEGIN WITH THERMOGRAMS? Your breasts are a window into your health. Thermograms ideally should begin at around age 20 when the breasts are fully developed and be monitored every 2 – 3 years for changes in the blood vessels, especially if a woman chooses to use birth control pills or hormone replacement therapy. Women who notice changes in their breasts should consider a thermogram as the start to the investigation process. Thermography provides Active Surveillance. Don’t wait for symptoms, before you start to pay attention to your breast health. If you like this page you should also look at -Therm-OZONE Therapy (drug-free therapies for pain, injury & disease.

🌟 Understanding the Link: Stress, Emotions, and Breast Health 🌟

Let’s get to the heart of the matter: stress and emotional trauma significantly impact our health, including breast cancer. When we experience stress—whether real or perceived—our bodies enter a "fight or flight" mode, controlled by the autonomic nervous system. This system has two branches:

Sympathetic System (Fight or Flight): This is your body’s survival mode. It prepares you to react quickly, increasing heart rate and redirecting blood flow away from digestion.

Para-Sympathetic System (Rest and Digest): This is your body’s relaxation mode, where healing and digestion occur.

Unfortunately, many of us spend most of our days in sympathetic mode, leading to chronic stress, inflammation, and hormonal imbalances. This can increase the risk of various health issues, including breast cancer.

Your emotions and thoughts directly influence your physical health. To achieve better health, it’s essential to support your emotional well-being. Here’s how you can take action:

Create a De-Stress Plan: Identify stressors and develop healthy coping mechanisms. Consider activities like walking, listening to music, or meditating. Make relaxation a daily ritual.

Address Past Traumas: Reflect on unresolved emotional conflicts. Seek support from professionals or trusted friends. Be open to advice and willing to embrace change.

Root Canals and Breast Cancer – What’s the connection?

Comment BLODGETT and I will send you the full interview with Dr. Kelly Blodgett on the Dangers of Mercury Fillings, Root Canals and Fluoride.
______
Repost:

“Many dentists and root canal specialists claim there is no scientific data that supports a connection between root canals and breast cancer. However, data is emerging which supports the connection, and I’ll share information from one such study shortly.

But first, let’s consider the basic human anatomy of the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is a network of tiny vessels that collect fluid and waste products from the body’s tissues and drain into small glands called lymph nodes where substances that could be harmful to the body, such as bacteria or cancer cells, are trapped and removed. This helps to protect the body from infection. The lymph then passes back into the blood. The lymph vessels of the head and neck drain directly into the chest, armpit, and breast area (see image). As I have shown in numerous posts, all root canal-treated teeth are filled with microbes. These microbes are drained by the lymphatic system directly into the breast tissue. It is simple to see how the lymph nodes of the breast can become overly burdened by the chronic exposure to such microbes.

To support this notion, here is a recent study from the International Journal of Molecular Sciences titled: “Bacteria Residing at Root Canals Can Induce Cell Proliferation and Alter the Mechanical Properties of Gingival and Cancer Cells”. The study stated, “A compelling number of studies have documented the crucial role of some oral cavity-occurring microbes in the initiation and progression of cancers.”

I am not saying that all root canals cause cancer. However, root canals increase the risk of cancer. If your health goals include reducing risks for chronic diseases (like cancer!) then avoiding root canals may be more consistent with your values. If you have been diagnosed with breast cancer, removing root canals and other oral infections may also be a priority. So important to look at what you apply to your skin.

New Research: Just 28 Days Without Parabens & Phthalates Reverses Cancer-Linked Breast Changes

A groundbreaking study published in Chemosphere has revealed that avoiding parabens and phthalates — common preservatives and fragrance enhancers in cosmetics and personal care products — for just 28 days can reverse cancer-associated changes in breast tissue.

Researchers analyzed breast tissue samples before and after a month-long avoidance period and found significant reversals in cellular pathways linked to cancer development, including:

• PI3K-AKT/mTOR signaling (cell growth & survival)

• Autophagy (cell recycling & stress response)

• Apoptotic signaling (cell death regulation)

These pathways are known to play key roles in tumor growth and progression.

Parabens and phthalates act as xenoestrogens, synthetic compounds that mimic estrogen. Since estrogen is closely tied to breast cancer risk, reducing exposure may help lower cancer-related cellular changes.

This research underscores the importance of choosing endocrine disruptor-free products and suggests that even short-term lifestyle changes can have measurable molecular impacts on breast health.

Mammography & Ultrasound vs. Thermography: Understanding Your Breast Health Screening Options 🤔

Ever wondered about the difference between mammography, ultrasound, and thermography? They're not replacements for each other, but rather offer different perspectives on breast health. 💖

➡️Mammography & Ultrasound: The Structural Detectors

These are structural (anatomical) tests. They visualize the physical form of the breast, identifying lumps, calcifications, or distortions.

Mammography: Uses X-rays ☢️. Can detect tumors 1-2 years before physical exam. Cons: Involves radiation, breast compression, can be difficult with dense breasts, and may miss fast-growing early-stage tumors. Ultrasound: Uses sound waves 🌊. Can detect some tumors missed by mammography and analyze all breast areas. Cons: Can be affected by hormonal cycles.

➡️Thermography: The Functional Forecaster

This is a functional (physiological) test. It uses infrared technology to detect heat patterns, reflecting blood flow and metabolic activity. 🌡️ It's a non-invasive, radiation-free method that can identify physiological changes years before structural abnormalities appear.

Thermography: Can flag risks like early angiogenesis or lymphatic issues. It provides an earliest warning system for potential breast disease, empowering proactive health management. 💪 Cons: Cannot pinpoint exact locations without complementary imaging.

Prevention Over Detection

While early detection is important, prevention is the ultimate goal. Cancer can take years to develop into a detectable lump. Thermography's ability to identify subtle physiological changes offers a powerful tool for risk assessment and proactive intervention, moving beyond just detecting existing disease. Consider adding thermography to your regular breast care routine for a more comprehensive approach to wellness! 🙏

Breast Cancer Awareness: Don't Ignore the Risk in Younger Women

Younger women often underestimate their breast cancer risk. However, breast cancer is a leading cause of death in women aged 35-54, and cases are rising. A significant number of diagnoses occur before menopause.

Why is Breast Cancer Different in Younger Women?

Denser Breast Tissue: Younger women typically have denser breasts, making lumps harder to detect. By the time a lump is felt, the cancer may be advanced, impacting treatment success.
Mammography Limitations: Routine mammograms are recommended for women 50+, but are less effective in younger women due to denser tissue. Mammography effectiveness drops significantly in women with Grade III or IV breast density.
Aggressive Cancer: Younger women tend to have higher hormonal activity, which can lead to more aggressive cancers that respond poorly to treatment.
Delayed Diagnosis: Many young women dismiss lumps as cysts, and some healthcare providers may adopt a 'wait-and-see' approach, delaying crucial diagnosis and treatment.

Take Charge of Your Health
An effective way of screening is available in the form of medical infrared thermography. Thermography becomes essential in helping many young women identify who is at a higher risk of developing breast cancer by assessment of how the breast functions. By identifying a high risk group early we can follow this group more vigilantly and when necessary escalate to other forms of testing which would involve structural tests like, Ultrasound, Mammography, and MRI.
