Design your own stage race in the Amatholes. 🌲

Some events ask you to choose one start line. Hobbit lets you shape the weekend. Build your own stage race across two days in the Amathole forests, mix distances, earn your forest name, and make it a proper Hogsback weekend away with the people you love.

How it works:
Choose one on Day 1, then one on Day 2. Or run one day only. Or stitch together a combo and run as a Pathweaver.

Serendipity is a mystical secluded gem nestled on the slopes of the Hogsback Amathole Mountains. The property boasts a magnificent view of the valley as well as manicured terraces with nooks & crannies filled with lovingly made mosaics. Serendipity has 2 fully equipped self-catering cottages

Evenstar Cottage (sleeps 2-6 guests)

Evenstar Cottage is suitable for a couple looking for an escape away from the claustrophobic city life, a group of friends on a forest retreat or even a small family, thanks to the space advantage. Evenstar is equipped with a double bed, bunk beds & double sleeper couch. This warm, homely cottage overlooks the remarkable, gracious green forest with towering trees & our beautiful friends of the sky. You will be treated to captivating views year round.

Treebeard Cottage (sleeps 2-8 guests)

Treebeard Cottage is suitable for a couple looking for an escape, a group of friends wanting to enjoy a bit of nature or even a small family looking to get away and spend some quality time together. Treebeard sleeps up to 8 guests & is equipped with a double bed, double sleeper couch & double bunk as well as a separate room with a double bed, toilet & hand basin.

Treebeard has the most captivating views overlooking the valley with luscious green forests, leading down to the Binfield Dam. Thanks to the large deck it is also heaven for birdwatching enthusiasts & photographers with a passion for capturing natural snap shots of our beautiful flying friends.
