A good reminder that our children are worth considering. Do'nt ignore the signs.

Many of us will remember what it was like to listen to our parents arguing. The feelings of helplessness, panic and sadness. A desire to block it out or run away. Yet it can be easy to forget this as a parent later in life. We can get so mixed up in arguments with our own partner that we don’t see...

The start of another New Year

Looking back over this year, it has been a challenging one but we are encouraged when starting a new one to leave behind the things that have held us back , like worry, fear, heartache etc. The new year is an opportunity to go forward and to be able to do this we have to be intentional, like running in a marathon. Planning and preparing for the course before hand gives us the best chance of success. So look at what you will need to do to start 2018 and be intentional about working on those things. If its debt then make a new budget and plan to repay your debt. If it's family then plan to build the bridges. If its your relationship, make the effort to improve it with your spouse or partner before it's too late. Don't sit back and expect to complete the race without planning. And the same goes for you career.
Do this year, what it takes to bring change in your own life and let go of the negativity that has gone before.
1. Write down three things you wish you had been doing all along and start doing them. 2. Write down three things that hinder you doing them and stop doing it.
For me Fear is something I have struggled with and this has stopped me many times. A Bible verse I have to encourage me is " The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; whom shall I dread" Psalm 27 verse 1.
When you don't like what is happening, do something, maybe even get some advice.
May 2018 be A NEW BEGINNING for those who need one and for those who have had a great 2017 may it continue.
