💙 Testicular Cancer Awareness – A Gentle Reminder from KliniDoc Medical Centre

Testicular cancer is often treatable when caught early — and sometimes the smallest changes can be the most important ones to notice. According to CANSA, signs to look out for include:

* Lumps or small masses
* Pain or discomfort
* A painless lump (even as tiny as a grain of rice)
* Swelling or enlargement of a testicle
* Noticeable shrinkage
* Changes in firmness or consistency
* A heavy or dull ache in the back, lower abdomen, groin, or sc***um
* Any painless lump that doesn’t improve with antibiotics

It may feel uncomfortable to talk about, but your health is worth the conversation. Regular self-checks and routine GP visits can make all the difference.

Supporting Our Smallest Fighters 🤍💜

At KliniDoc Medical Centre in Humansdorp —home to Dr Carmen Jaquire’s practice and Klinicare Pharmacy —caring for our community is at the heart of what we do.

In honour of World Prematurity Day (17 November), we were privileged to make a generous donation of essentials to Humansdorp Hospital in support of their neonatal unit.

Professional Nurse Jenelene Windvogel kindly visited our premises at 6 Kemp Street to collect the items, which included soft baby blankets, baby bum cream, wipes, earbuds, cotton balls, surgical spirits and more.

A small gesture that we hope brings comfort to the tiniest little ones and the incredible staff who care for them. 💜

We offer Stress ECG testing

A stress ECG is a test that records the heart's electrical signals (an ECG) while a patient is under stress, typically from physical exercise.

Why it's done:
🧡 To check for coronary artery disease: It determines if the heart muscle is getting enough oxygen-rich blood during exercise by looking for changes in the ECG when arteries are narrowed.

🧡 To diagnose heart problems: It helps identify symptoms like chest pain, palpitations, dizziness, or shortness of breath that may be caused by heart issues.

🧡 To assess functional capacity: It shows how well the heart functions under stress.
