Call for Abstracts: Masters of Resuscitation Conference 2025 September | Pioneering Resuscitation Across Silos 📩

We are excited to invite submissions for the 2025 Masters of Resuscitation Conference, a premier event bringing together leaders in Emergency Medicine, Prehospital Care, and Critical Care. This year’s conference will continue our tradition of breaking silos, fostering collaboration across disciplines to advance the science and practice of resuscitation.

As the Director of Masters of Resuscitation, close friend and colleague of Dr Jennings, or as most of you knew her Doc V, most of you already know by now that Dr Vicky Jennings, our friend, mentor, leader and conference medical director have passed away, to us she was a friend, a problem solver, a genius and a loving person with a mind of her own that could gel so nicely with what we had in mind.

She was the epitome of a selfless, caring and committed Doctor, dedicating her life as a world renowned and respected trauma surgeon to her patients in the public and private sector as well as to the academic institutions. To them she was known as just Doc Vicky, the caring Doctor that would not give up on her patients and most probably saved their life against all odds.

She was hand trained by the world recognized Prof Ken Boffard and Prof Steve Moeng both veteran Trauma Surgeons.

Other than our friend and conference medical director she was the clinical lead in trauma surgery at Netcare Milpark Hospital and the Netcare Milpark Academic Trauma Centre. She was also the Deputy Head of Trauma Surgery at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital.

She will forever hold a place in our hearts and memories and we WILL forever uphold her legacy.

We will forever love you.

Together with these humans noted above she made my crazy (sometimes impossible) ideas a reality, and I was lucky enough to have told her this on a recent excursion to Italy.
