What to do when diagnosed with Osteoporosis?

➡️Osteoporosis poses a significant risk of disability, especially for older women. It is a condition characterized by weakened bones, often leading to fractures in areas like the hip and spine. When these fractures occur, it can become challenging to move freely and maintain independent living.

Rehabilitation guidelines after shoulder surgery:

1. Postoperative Care & Immobilisation:
➡️ Adhere to your surgeon's advice. Such as restrictions, movements and bracing.

2. Multidisciplinary Approach:
➡️ Physiotherapy treatment is vital in the acute phase while Biokinetic treatment is vital to regain functionality.

3. Rehabilitation Exercises:
➡️ Exercise Based rehabilitation serves as the cornerstone of rotator cuff tear rehabilitation. starting with gentle exercises to avoid straining the injured muscle.

4. Progressive Strengthening:
➡️ It's always important for you to be consistent with your Biokineticist so that they can progressive the treatment as you progress.

5. Functional Progressions & Maintenance:
➡️ Once there is base levels of strength, stability and mobility its important to progress to more functional movements that is specific to your goals.
