Dear Patient,
After nearly 50 years of dedicated medical practice, Dr Schalk van der Walt will be retiring. For the past 8 years, he has had the privilege of serving the Jeffreys Bay community, a town close to his heart.
His final working day was 31 March 2026. We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr van der Walt for his many years of compassionate care and unwavering commitment to his patients.
As he steps into retirement, we are pleased to introduce Dr A. Sadiq, who will be practising from No. 7 Uys Street. Dr Sadiq will begin consulting from 8 April 2026 and will be available to continue your care, should you wish.
Dr Sadiq has a special interest in the ongoing care of older patients, with a strong focus on chronic conditions, medication management, and overall wellbeing. Alongside this, he brings a modern approach to patient care, while remaining committed to providing attentive, respectful and continuous care you can rely on.
Both telephone numbers will stay the same.
We are also pleased to share that Magda, who has worked alongside Dr van der Walt, will remain at the practice and continue to assist Dr Sadiq, ensuring a sense of familiarity and continuity for patients.
Appointments are now open, and we encourage you to book early. For the month of April, consultations will be offered at a rate of R500, and most medical aids are welcome.
To ensure continuity of care, Dr Sadiq has kindly agreed to retain all patient files at the practice for those who choose to remain.
