I am from South Africa and the last-born “laat lammetjie” of my family.
Married, with 2 adult kids. I had the privilege to raise them myself while staying in rural towns and being part of their school, sport etc.
Due to a lot of travelling while they were in a boarding school which took quite a toll on my body, always pain in my lower back and shoulders. I used to do a lot of research on health issues in health and wellbeing etc. I was always interested.
I tried different techniques, but nothing seemed to work. The tension was making slow but sure progress to my neck and the situation was becoming debilitating.
It was an awakening because my body was trying to tell me to stop – a sign of emotional stress overload! I was in a bad place in my life taking on all the stress in the family. You very often accept that you have to live with pain and stiffness because you think nothing can be done…but it’s not true! Body Stress Release changed my life.
In 2012 I read an article of a lady that practised in Clanwilliam. This intrigued me. Time went by and I only attended BSR sessions in 2014. What a major change, no painkillers.
Body Stress Release changed my life for the first time when I first experienced the technique, and it changed my life for sure a second time, now that I will be training as a BSR practitioner, as I will be able to share this unique amazing technique as from March 2021.
I’ll be training at the BSR South Africa Academy, starting in September 2020, and will be leaving my family behind for 5-intensive months to go onto the residential course in beautiful Rondevlei with fellow students from all over the world. I will be qualified in March 2021.
BSR looks at you holistically, not only from head to toe but back in time at your personal history and any emotions that your body is holding on to. As all practitioners have experienced BSR and gone through their journey, they are the best people to understand and explain why you and your body matter.
