Technology post 🤓. Times are changing!

Yesterday, Lenz Therapeutics announced the FDA approval of Vizz (aceclidine ophthalmic solution 1.44%)—the third eye drop for presbyopia, and the first to harness aceclidine. The novel, pupil-selective miotic works by narrowing the pupil to a sub-2mm pinhole, extending depth of focus for up to 10 hours of near-vision improvement without inducing a myopic shift.

Survey Reveals the Extent of Prejudice Against the Visually Disabled
A new study sheds light on mistreatment of impaired and blind patients in American society.

Living with a disability poses its own challenges, especially for those who can’t see. It is difficult for these individuals to travel, work and navigate basic aspects of life. In a recent study, researchers from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore analyzed data from a national survey to understand the scope of discrimination towards visually disabled patients.

Inspiring story! MEET KAT

Hey I’m Kat, I’m visually impaired.
This seems to have become my new label these days… sad but true. When you walk around PE with a guide dog and run around tethered to someone with a luminous belt… people tend to stop and stare… apparently. I wouldn’t know…. I tend to miss it, LOL.

WE DID IT!!!!
So two weekends ago my biggest dream came true. I rang the Ironman’s first timer bell, jogged the last few metres on the red carpet and crossed the finish line with George as an Ironman. WOW! I am still a little bit speechless by it all and to be honest….. a little sad that it is all over. The day may have been tough, but I’d love to re-live it…. And if I’m lucky, I will again.
