✈️ Travelling while pregnant? Here’s what to know

In most healthy pregnancies, flying is generally safe up until 34 weeks, but it’s always best to check with your doctor first.

When flying may not be advised:
• If you’re at risk of preterm labour
• Have certain complications (like placenta previa or high blood pressure)
• Are carrying multiples past 32–34 weeks
• Or have been advised to avoid long periods of sitting

Pro tip: Stay hydrated, stretch your legs often, and always wear your seatbelt under your bump.

If you’re planning a trip, let’s chat first, your safety (and baby’s) always comes first. 💛

Let’s Talk About Ectopic Pregnancy 💛

An ectopic pregnancy happens when a fertilised egg implants outside the uterus, most commonly in the fallopian tube. Unfortunately, it’s not a pregnancy that can progress, and it can be life-threatening if left untreated.

⚠️ Symptoms to watch for:
• Sharp or one-sided pelvic pain
• Vaginal bleeding
• Shoulder tip pain
• Dizziness or fainting

Ectopic pregnancies are rare but serious, and early detection is key. If you’re newly pregnant and experiencing any of these symptoms, please seek medical attention right away.

Your pelvic floor is a group of muscles that supports your bladder, bowel, and uterus, and it plays a BIG role in your overall wellbeing.

Whether you’re pregnant, postpartum, or simply navigating everyday life, keeping these muscles strong matters. Here’s why:
👉Helps prevent bladder leaks
👉Supports a smoother recovery after birth
👉Improves core strength and posture
👉Enhances sexual function
👉Reduces pelvic pain or heaviness

The best part? It’s never too early, or too late, to start caring for your pelvic floor.

Not sure where to begin? Chat to your doctor or a pelvic floor physio for support tailored to you.

Pap Smear Prep 101
Your comfort matters, here’s how to get ready for your next Pap smear:

Schedule smart 🗓️ – Try to avoid booking during your period for clearer results (mid-cycle is ideal!).

Skip vaginal products 🚫 – No douching, creams, or tampons 24-48 hours before.

Hold off on intimacy 💕 – Avoid vaginal in*******se for 24 hours before your appointment.

Relax, you’ve got this 🌸 – It’s quick, it’s important, and we’ll talk you through every step.

A Pap smear is a powerful tool in protecting your health, it’s not just a test, it’s self-care. 💗

Vaginal discharge: What’s normal through your cycle?

Your discharge tells a story, and it changes throughout your menstrual cycle. Here’s what’s normal:

👉Dry or Sticky – Often right after your period. Not much happening here!

👉Creamy – As your body gears up for ovulation, you might notice a thicker, lotion-like texture.

👉Wet & Clear – Getting closer to ovulation. This means your body is becoming more fertile.

👉Egg White – Stretchy, slippery, and clear, a sign you’re ovulating!

These changes are completely natural and healthy. Knowing your body helps you feel more in tune and empowered. 💛

When discharge suddenly changes in colour, smell, or comes with discomfort, it’s time to check in with your doctor!
