Primary dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain) affects up to 25% of all menstruating women, with an estimated 49 prevalence of 20%–90% that reaches its peak during adolescence.

Recent clinical trials have concluded low level light/laser (photobiomodulation) therapy can be a safe, effective, simple and non-pharmacological treatment for dysmenorrhea.

Laser therapy is often used for pain and control of symptoms of conditions like osteoarthritis. But did you know this safe and effective therapy can potentially prevent the need for knee joint replacement surgery?

A peer reviewed randomized human clinical trial published in 2015 examined 100 elderly patients with bilateral symptomatic knee arthritis.* Half of the patients received laser therapy 3 times per week for 12 weeks. After a follow-up of 6 years, patients clearly benefited from laser therapy as only one knee needed joint replacement surgery, while nine patients treated without laser therapy needed surgery.

Unlike medication and other therapies, laser therapy has the ability to not only improve your arthritic symptoms but repair the cartilage and slow the progression of this chronic osteoarthritis.

Laser therapy targets the cells and tissues that cause arthritis. It can decrease inflammation of the synovial membrane leading to decreased swelling and inflammation resulting in less pain and stiffness.

The other benefits of Laser Therapy is the ability to stimulate damaged cartilage cells to increase their ability to regenerate and repair damaged arthritic joints.* Ongoing treatment can slow the progression of arthritis to some degree.

Can Laser Therapy cure arthritis? Of course not, but it can help you manage your symptoms in a non-invasive manner with no side effects.

Laser therapy is often used for pain and treatment of medical conditions like arthritis or tendonitis. But did you know this safe and effective therapy is emerging as a potential use for many other conditions due to its systemic effects?

Systemic effects were first noted by Dr. Endre Mester in the 1960s. Several hypotheses have suggested systemic effects result in increased stem cells and white blood cells that assist with cellular and tissue healing via the circulatory system.

The research paper “Low-Level Laser Therapy to the Bone Marrow Reduces Scarring and Improves Heart Function Post-Acute Myocardial Infarction in the Pig”* treated bone marrow with laser therapy and concluded there was “a significant reduction in scarring, enhanced angiogenesis and functional improvement both in the acute and long term phase post-MI”.

“I officially developed my problem in 1998 when an orthopedic surgeon diagnosed me with discogenic pain. This may have been aggravated by low-impact aerobics, my work as a labour room nurse, or maybe cycling. I went to a facility that specialized in back pain and started exercise therapy treatments, but that seemed to make it worse.

Then I went to a chiropractor, which caused more pain. After that, I tried Naproxen for three months and physiotherapy for even longer. None of it really worked for me.

I was a skeptic of any treatment beyond traditional medical solutions like surgery or drugs, but I was running out of options, so I tried something new. A series of low-intensity laser therapy treatments helped me get back 95% of normal function. I’m still amazed at what a difference it made in my life.”

Buerger's Disease stems from the inflammation of blood vessels that swell and become inflamed with blood clots. This can eventually lead to the damage of the skin tissues leading to infection and gangrene.

With only THREE treatments, you can visibly see how quickly the lesion began to heal ‼️😝🥳

AMAZING! 🙌🌈
