💪🏼🐾Paw Lifts & Weight Shifts 🐾💪🏼
This deceptively simple exercise is a powerhouse for building:
✅ Hindquarter strength
✅ Core stability & activation
✅ Balance & coordination
🐾WHY THE RAISED SURFACE?
Elevating her front paws encourages a rearward weight shift, increasing the workload on her hind limbs. It’s a subtle change that makes a big difference in muscle engagement compared to standing with all four paws flat.
🐾SPOTTING THE WEIGHT SHIFT:
Dogs will naturally shift their weight to the diagonal limb of the paw you are lifting.
When the left front paw is lifted, weight shifts backward to the right hind paw, and slides—avoiding proper weight-bearing.
‼️THIS IS A RED FLAG FOR RIGHT HIND WEAKNESS‼️
However, when the right front paw is lifted, the left hind paw stays rock solid, confirming it’s the stronger limb.
🐾THE GOAL:
A square, stable stance with weight evenly distributed. No cheating, no shortcuts—just balanced muscle development and better biomechanics.
Small tweaks = big gains. Let's build strength symmetrically. 🐕✨
