WOMB DISORDERS FACED BY WOMEN:

Gynecological problems encompass a wide range of conditions affecting the female reproductive system. These can include menstrual disorders like irregular periods or heavy bleeding, infections like yeast infections or STIs, and structural issues such as uterine fibroids or endometriosis. Additionally, gynecological cancers, hormonal imbalances like PCOS, and conditions like urinary incontinence also fall under this category.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
1. Menstrual Disorders:
Irregular periods: Periods that are too frequent, too infrequent, or unpredictable in timing.

Heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia): Excessive bleeding during menstruation, potentially leading to anemia.

Painful periods (dysmenorrhea): Severe cramping and pain during menstruation.

Amenorrhea: Absence of menstruation.

2. Infections:
Yeast infections:

Common fungal infections causing itching, burning, and discharge.

Bacterial vaginosis:

Imbalance of bacteria in the va**na, causing abnormal discharge and odor.

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs):

Infections like chlamydia, gonorrhea, and HPV can cause various symptoms or be asymptomatic and require treatment.
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID): Infection of the reproductive organs, often stemming from STIs.

3. Structural Issues:
Uterine fibroids:

Noncancerous tumors in the uterus that can cause heavy bleeding, pain, and pressure.

Endometriosis:

Tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing pain and fertility issues.

Ovarian cysts:

Fluid-filled sacs on the ovaries, often benign but can cause pain or complications.
Uterine prolapse:
The uterus slips down into the va**na.

4. Other Conditions:
Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS):

Hormonal disorder causing irregular periods, cysts on ovaries, and other symptoms.
Urinary incontinence: Involuntary leakage of urine.

Gynecologic cancers: Cancers of the cervix, uterus, ovaries, or va**na.
Infertility:

HOW LIFESTYLE CHOICES IMPACT SEXUAL FUNCTION:

Lifestyle choices can have a significant impact on s*xual function. Here are some ways in which lifestyle choices can affect s*xual function:

1. **Diet and Nutrition**: A healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins can promote s*xual function by providing the necessary nutrients for overall health and hormone balance.

2. **Exercise**: Regular physical activity can improve blood flow and circulation, which are essential for s*xual function. Exercise also helps in reducing stress and improving self-confidence, both of which are beneficial for s*xual health.

3. **Smoking**: Smoking can have a negative impact on s*xual function by affecting blood flow and leading to the development of cardiovascular issues. Quitting smoking can help improve s*xual function.

4. **Alcohol and Drug Use**: Excessive alcohol consumption and drug use can impair s*xual function by affecting hormone levels, nervous system function, and overall health.

5. **Stress**: Chronic stress can impact s*xual function by causing hormonal imbalances and reducing libido.
6. Sleep: Getting enough quality sleep is important for s*xual function
7. Weight: Carrying extra weight , especially obesity is a leading driver of erectile dysfunction and infertility to women.

POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME (PCOS).

Polycystic o***y syndrome pcos is an hormonal disorder causing enlarged ovaries with small cysts on the outer edges.
The cause of polycystic o***y syndrome may involve a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Its believed that high levels of male hormones prevent the ovaries from producing hormones and making eggs normally. Genes, insulin resistance, and inflammation have all been linked to excess androgen production.
The cause of polycystic o***y syndrome may involve a combination of
1.Irregular periods or no periods at all.
2.Difficulty getting pregnant (because of irregular ovulation or failure to ovulate)
3.Excessive hair growth (hirsutism) – usually on the face, chest and back
weight gain.

GONORRHEA

Gonorrhea is an infection caused by a s*xually transmitted bacterium that can infect both males and females. Gonorrhea most often affects the urethra, re**um or throat. In females, gonorrhea can also infect the cervix.

Gonorrhea is most commonly spread during s*x. But babies can be infected during childbirth if their mothers are infected. In babies, gonorrhea most commonly affects the eyes.

Gonorrhea is a common infection that, in many cases, causes no symptoms. You may not even know that you're infected. Abstaining from s*x, using a condom if you do have s*x and being in a mutually monogamous relationship are the best ways to prevent s*xually transmitted infections.

SYMPTOMS

In many cases, gonorrhea infection causes no symptoms. When symptoms do appear, gonorrhea infection can affect multiple sites in your body, but it commonly appears in the ge***al tract.

Gonorrhea affecting the ge***al tract

Signs and symptoms of gonorrhea infection in men include:

Painful urination
Pus-like discharge from the tip of the p***s
Pain or swelling in one testicle
Signs and symptoms of gonorrhea infection in women include:

Increased va**nal discharge
Painful urination
Vaginal bleeding between periods, such as after va**nal in*******se
Painful in*******se
Abdominal or pelvic pain
Gonorrhea at other sites in the body

Gonorrhea can also affect these parts of the body:

Re**um. Signs and symptoms include a**l itching, pus-like discharge from the re**um, spots of bright red blood on toilet tissue and having to strain during bowel movements.
Eyes. Gonorrhea that affects your eyes may cause eye pain, sensitivity to light, and pus-like discharge from one or both eyes.
Throat. Signs and symptoms of a throat infection may include a sore throat and swollen lymph nodes in the neck.
Joints. If one or more joints become infected by bacteria (septic arthritis), the affected joints may be warm, red, swollen and extremely painful, especially when you move an affected joint.

I want to have another baby, but I'm having trouble in getting pregnant.

Causes
➖Impaired s***m production, function or delivery in men
➖Fallopian tube damage,
➖ovulation disorders,
➖Endometriosis
➖Growths in uterus
*Causes of Secondary Infertility*
➖Advanced maternal age (age 35 and older)
➖Impaired s***m production or low-s***m count.
➖Damaged fallopian tubes.
➖Endometriosis.
➖Uterine conditions.
➖Polycystic o***y syndrome.
➖Excessive weight gain in both men and women.
➖Lifestyle factors including smoking and heavy alcohol use.
➖Uterine or cervical abnormalities, including

It is possible to have uterine factor infertility and still have a uterus. This can include infertility that’s caused by fibroids, polyps, scar tissue, radiation damage or injuries to the uterus that prevent a pregnancy.

*What is male infertility?*
Infertility is a problem with your reproductive system that stops you from impregnating a female.

*What causes male infertility?*
▪️Low s***m count
▪️Watery s***ms
▪️Azoos***mia- inability to produce s***m cells.or complete absence of s***ms
▪️Oligos***mia:low or poor quality s***m.
▪️Malformed or s***m motility s***m: S***m that cannot live long enough to fertilize the egg.
▪️Variococles: where the veins on your testicles are larger than normal, causing them to overheat, which can affect the shape or number of your s***m.
▪️Cancer treatments: Chemotherapy, radiation or a surgery that removes the testicles (one or both).
▪️Unhealthy habits: Heavy alcohol&smoking
▪️Trauma to the te**es.
▪️Hormonal disorder

*KNOW YOUR SPERMS .

Normally, semen is a thick, whitish liquid. However, several conditions can change the color and consistency of semen. Watery semen can be a sign of low s***m count, indicating possible fertility problems.

▪️Semen is the fluid released through the male urethra during ej*******on. It carries s***m and fluids from the prostate gland and other male reproductive organs.

▪️Normally, semen is a thick, whitish liquid.
▪️However, several conditions can change the color and consistency of semen.

🛑Watery semen can be a sign of low s***m count, indicating possible fertility problems. 🛑Ejaculating thin, clear semen may also be a temporary condition with no serious health concerns except that of being infertile

*4 causes*
There are several possible causes for watery semen. Most are treatable or preventable.

*1. Low semen count*
One of the most common causes of watery semen is low s***m count. ▪️This is also known as oligos***mia. If you have low s***m count, it means your semen contains fewer s***m than normal. A s***m count of fewer than 15 million s***m per milliliter of semen is considered below normal.

*causes of oligos***mia include:*

🛑Varicocele. A varicocele is a swelling of veins from the testicles in the sc***um. It’s a major, but treatable, cause of male infertility.
🛑Infection. Examples include a s*xually transmitted disease such as gonorrhea or another kind of infection that causes inflammation of a reproductive organ, such as epididymitis.
🛑Tumors. Malignant and benign tumors in the testicles may affect s***m production.
🛑Hormone imbalances. Hormones produced in the testicles, pituitary gland, and hypothalamus are all necessary to produce healthy s***m counts.
▪️Changes in any of these hormones could affect s***m production.

EPIDYMO -ORCHITIS
Epididymitis is an inflammation of the coiled tube, called the epididymis, at the back of the testicle. The epididymis stores and carries s***m. Males of any age can get epididymitis.
Epididymitis is most often caused by a bacterial infection, including s*xually transmitted infections (STIs), such as gonorrhea or chlamydia. Sometimes, a testicle also becomes inflamed — a condition called epididymo-orchitis.

Symptoms Of Epididymitis Might Include:
√A swollen, discolored or warm sc***um
√Testicle pain and tenderness, usually on one side, that often comes on slowly
√Pain when you pass urine
√An urgent or frequent need to urinate
√Discharge from the p***s
√Pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen or pelvic area
√Blood in the semen
Causes of epididymitis include:
✓STIs. Gonorrhea and chlamydia are the most common causes of epididymitis in young, s*xually active males.
✓Other infections. Bacteria from a urinary tract or prostate infection might spread from the infected site to the epididymis. Also, viral infections, such as the mumps virus, can result in epididymitis.
✓Urine in the epididymis. This condition occurs when urine flows backward into the epididymis, causing chemical irritation. It may be the result of heavy lifting or straining.
✓Trauma. A groin injury can cause epididymitis.
Complications of epididymitis
1. Pus-filled infection, called an abscess, in the sc***um
2. Collection of fluid around the testicle, called a hydrocele
3. Epididymo-orchitis, if the condition spreads from the epididymis to a testicle
4. Reduced fertility
