Islamic Careline Islamic Careline is a counselling service based in Fordsburg, Johannesburg. We provide professional & confidential psycho-social services to the community.

The Islamic Careline is a registered non-profit organization that addresses the psycho-social problems experienced in society. The service is a project of the Jamiatul Ulama Fordsburg and is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Islamic Careline offers a wide variety of services to the entire community. These include:

-Counselling for marital, drug and family problems
-Telephonic counselling
-Career counselling
-Play therapy
-Trauma debriefing
-Reversions to Islam
-Marriage Preparation, Adaptation and Enrichment
-Community development programmes including Ladies Lifeskills, Stress Management, etc.
-Basic Counselling Skills Training
-Poverty reduction programmes
-Various support groups

Please contact us if you wish to make an appointment to see a counsellor. The Muslim AIDS Programme is a joint project of the Jamiatul Ulama, Islamic Careline and Islamic Medical Association (IMA). MAP is actively involved in the national Partnership against AIDS initiative. Projects of the Muslim AIDS Programme include:

-Medical screenings in association with IMA
-Pre-test and post-test HIV counselling
-Awareness programmes
-Lifeskills and Abstinence based programme
-HIV/AIDS Training
-Orphan and Vulnerable Children programme
-ARV clinic sandwich programme
-Community Outreach and Home Based Care
-Food Security programme
-Care Centre for HIV infected and affected mothers and children / orphans
-School Uniform Programme

A programme on Mandela Day was held for the learners and teachers of Tikelo Primary School who also received a meal, a toiletry pack, a sweet pack and a winter warmth pack.
