Pathology 🧪
We offer basic Ampath pathology services, including blood and urine testing. Specimens are sent to full-service labs, with results reviewed by our treating doctors. COVID swabs are also available.

Radiology 🩻
In partnership with Van Rensburg and Partners, we provide on-site X-rays to assist with accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Wow!!!! Thank you !

Today we had to drag ourselves to Urgent Care on a Public Holiday Monday because apparently that’s just how we roll. The culprit this time? A newly added medication + MCAS + Seanna’s spectacularly complicated biology = hives, welts, and full body itchiness. A truly festive addition to the public holiday to-do list.

When you in the medical world trenches you just know that you will encounter two types of people: those who follow protocol, and those who follow their hearts. Today’s visit could have gone either way. Instead, it was a reminder of the power of a great nurse. Sister Sharon is one of them. She remembered Seanna from her NCS diagnosis days. She walked in and brought the kind of warmth and genuine care that makes you remember why good humans go into nursing in the first place. She noticed how much Seanna has grown. How good she looks. How different she is from those last visits. More vibrant. And she’s right. Because for a long time, that version of Seanna felt very far away.

Right now we’re back to the drawing board because Rifaximin clearly isn’t her friend. Maybe a substitute will be better or something else- I don’t know. We’ll figure it out with the help of her awesome P*P- we just somehow always do.

But in the middle of all of that, you get moments like today and people like Sister Sharon- it reminds you that there are still so many good hands holding this whole thing together 💜🌻
