Day 15 🧡| How to Support a GBV Survivor
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do… is simply be there.

Here’s how to support someone experiencing GBV:
✨ Believe them
✨ Listen without judgment
✨ Avoid asking “why didn’t you leave?”
✨ Protect their privacy
✨ Help them access support services
✨ Remind them: it’s NOT their fault
✨ Offer safety, not pressure

Your support could be the lifeline they need.

🧡DAY 14 of 16 days of Activism

Gender-based violence affects us all. Silence and inaction allow abuse to continue.

Today, we remind you: ending GBV starts with you — your voice, your action, your courage.

Speak out. Support survivors. Challenge harmful norms. Together, we can make a difference.

📩 If you or someone you know is affected by GBV, reach out — help is available.

Day 13 | Periods Don’t Pause and Neither Should Dignity
We delivered pads to women and girls in shelters, on the streets, and in vulnerable communities.
Today, we continue the conversation.

Period poverty isn’t just a health issue,
it’s a gender-based violence issue too.
When women lack access to pads, they become more vulnerable to:
• exploitation
• transactional s*x
• abuse
• unsafe situations

Dignity breaks the cycle.
Empowerment breaks the silence.
Access breaks vulnerability.

Let’s keep pushing for a world where no girl or woman is stripped of her dignity because of her period.

Thandi’s story is the story of too many women in South Africa.

Abuse rarely starts with bruises. It begins with control, manipulation, and fear — and escalates if left unchecked.

Ending abuse starts with speaking out and supporting survivors. One person stepping in can change everything.

No one should live in fear. 💛

📩 If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, reach out. You are not alone.

DAY 11 of the 16 days of Activism | GBV Wrapped 🧡
These numbers shouldn’t be normal.
They shouldn’t be expected.
And they definitely shouldn’t be on repeat.

Today, we reveal the reality behind gender-based violence, the statistics that continue to shape the lives of women, children, and families in South Africa.

But awareness is the start of change.
When we see the numbers, we cannot ignore the stories.

🧡 Let’s break the cycle.
🧡 Let’s end the repeat.
🧡 Let’s end GBV.

🧡 DAY 10 of 16 days of activism

Young people are often silenced when they experience violence.
They’re told to keep quiet, “not overreact,” or “keep the peace.”

But violence is NEVER normal.
Not at school, not at home, not in relationships — not anywhere.

Today we amplify youth voices and remind every young person:
⭐ Your boundaries matter.
⭐ Your safety matters.
⭐ Your voice matters.

If you’re experiencing physical, emotional, s*xual, or psychological abuse, you deserve support and protection.

📩 Speak up. Someone will listen. Someone will help.

Today is Day 9 of the 16 Days of Activism and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

People with disabilities face higher risks of abuse, discrimination, and exclusion — often in silence.
Today we choose to see, listen, and stand with them.

Everyone deserves:
✨ Safety
✨ Respect
✨ Accessibility
✨ Dignity
✨ Protection

A disability should never make someone more vulnerable.
A society should make them more supported.

🧡 Let’s commit to a world where inclusion is the standard, not the exception.

Day 8 | 16 Days of Activism
Not all abuse is visible. Sometimes it starts with isolation.
With control.
With toxic jealousy.
With fear.

If your heart feels unsafe, unheard, or controlled — that is not love.

🧡 Today we raise awareness of the silent signs of abuse:
• Isolation
• Gaslighting
• Verbal attacks
• Financial control
• Manipulation
• Jealousy disguised as “care”

You deserve safety. You deserve respect. You deserve peace.

Day 7 of the 16 Days of Activism ✊🧡
Stigma is a form of violence.
Let’s choose compassion, not judgement.

Day 6 of 🧡
When you see abuse, don’t walk away.
Your voice, your call, your courage — it can save a life.

Bystanders stay silent.
Allies take action.
Be the difference.

Day 5 of 🧡
Not all wounds are visible. Gender-based violence leaves silent scars that many carry long after the pain ends.
Today, we honour survivors — their strength, their courage, and their healing.

Let’s create a world where no one has to hide their scars.
Let’s end GBV.
