World premiere Green Line.
For years, SCHWEIZER has pursued a clear mission: to unite sustainability and innovation. We deliberately avoid short-term trends, instead focusing on well-thought-out solutions that provide genuine added value for both the environment and our customers.
In recent years, we have gradually streamlined processes, reimagined materials, and steadily evolved our product portfolio with a focus on the future. The time has now come to take the next major step forward. All is revealed: we proudly present our new Green Line.
The introduction of this world first marks the start of our transformation. The Green Line is crafted mainly from renewable raw materials, featuring nearly 100% biobased carbon content. The polymer used is biodegradable, and the wood component comes from certified sustainable forestry. We also implement thorough recycling of non-biological components – carried out directly in-house.
And there is more: the Green Line debuts with USB-C charging. This modern charging solution offers greater convenience, reduced battery consumption, and a clear boost in environmental friendliness.
Made in Germany, designed for tomorrow – our Green Line is a bold commitment to responsible innovation. It proves that true sustainability does not settle for compromises; it raises the bar.

2009 TWIN-Lux
In January 2009, the company unveiled its TWIN-Lux illuminated stand magnifier, featuring modern LED lighting, an extra-large field of view (ideal for reading an entire newspaper column, for example), and 4.4x magnification.
The TWIN-Lux set a new benchmark with its combination of brightness, clarity, and magnification, quickly becoming a popular everyday aid for many people with impaired vision.

1987 BOY, SIR, BOSS
We kick off our anniversary timeline by looking back at a small but revolutionary innovation: the BOY, SIR, and BOSS folding magnifiers.
Featuring an aspheric lightweight lens, fold-out handle and – for the first time ever – a metal stand with adjustable tilt for reading, they set new standards. The adjustable angled view was also a cutting-edge feature. A perfect example of how SCHWEIZER combines function and innovation – both then as now.
The countdown has begun. Follow us on www.schweizer-optik-innovation.de/en

Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) affects the central part of the retina (nerve layer behind the eye) 👀 and is the leading cause of severe vision loss in people over 50. It doesn’t cause complete blindness, as only central vision is affected.
AMD often runs in families, with genetics playing a key role 🧬.
It’s recommended that all adults get a comprehensive eye exam by age 40, especially if there’s a family history of diseases like diabetes, heart conditions, or macular degeneration 👩‍⚕️.
Risk factors for AMD include smoking 🚬, poor diet (high in fast food 🍔, sugar 🍩, and refined starches 🍞), lack of brightly colored foods 🥕🥬 and Omega-3-rich fish 🐟, as well as conditions like hypertension 💔, high cholesterol 🫀, diabetes, and heart disease ❤️.
