My role is to provide primary healthcare services to patients of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. As a GP, I'm trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions and to provide ongoing care for patients with chronic illnesses. In addition t

o diagnosing and treating medical conditions, I also provide preventative care and health education to help patients stay healthy and avoid illness. This includes things like recommending vaccinations, providing advice on healthy eating and exercise, and discussing lifestyle changes that can improve overall health. As a GP, I work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, specialists, and pharmacists, to ensure that my patients receive the best possible care. I also work with community organizations and local health authorities to promote public health and prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Overall, my goal as a GP is to provide high-quality, patient-centered care that meets the unique needs of each individual I work with.

We are looking for a locum professional nurse!!

The Professional Nurse will provide comprehensive reproductive health services, with a focus on safe and legal Termination of Pregnancy (TOP). This includes pre- and post-abortion counselling, medical and surgical abortion assistance, patient education, and contraceptive services, ensuring high standards of care, privacy, and dignity for all clients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide professional nursing care and support throughout the abortion process (medical and/or surgical).
• Conduct patient assessments, health screenings, and pregnancy confirmations.
• Offer non-judgmental counselling and informed consent discussions in line with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Administer and monitor medication for medical abortion; assist the doctor in surgical procedures as needed.
• Educate patients on contraception options and provide family planning services.
• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations.
• Support post-abortion follow-up and management of potential complications.
• Ensure infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance in all aspects of care.

Requirements:
• Registered Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Certified and trained in Termination of Pregnancy services (TOP).
• Minimum of 3 years’ nursing experience in a primary healthcare or women’s health setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work sensitively with diverse patient populations.
• Basic computer literacy.
