The Swim School program for pre-school, youth and adult students develops a foundation of swimming and safety skills with a focus on self-rescue:

• Trust and submersion
• Body positions and air recovery (includes rollover to back for air recovery)

The Bad Ragaz Ring Method is a type of aquatic therapy used for physical rehabilitation.

This method involves an aquatic therapist working one-on-one to guide a patient through specific patterns of movement and resistance, with the effect of muscular elongation and relaxation and associated pain modulation, and with the goal of improving proprioception and neuromuscular functioning. Upper back pain can occur anywhere between the base of the neck and the bottom of the rib cage.

A nice and easy stretch to do is a thoracic and neck stretch while sitting to relieve some of the pressure on the upper back and neck (Advise a healthcare professional before attempting this stretch)

Hands to knee: This is an easy warm up exercise that helps activate the core and surrounding muscles as well as a nice exercise to get the heart pumping and getting the body ready to do more intense exercises.

How to: Find a flat surface to prevent any injuries from occurring. Starting with both arms up, lift the knee up towards the stomach while twisting the upper body slightly and bringing the arms down towards the knee - create a criss cross movement (The more twisting occurs the more of your muscles will activate).

Squat jumps and plyometric jumps are basic drills that improve agility and power. This exercise uses your lower body muscles as well as your core: abdominals, glutes, hamstrings, and lower back. The squat jump exercise ranks near the top of the list for developing explosive power using only body weight.

How to: Stand with feet shoulder width and knees slightly bent.
Bend your knees and descend to a full squat position.
Engage through the quads, glutes, and hamstrings and propel the body up and off the floor, extending through the legs. With the legs fully extended, the feet will be a few centimeters (or more) off the floor.
Descend and control your landing by going through your foot (toes, ball, arches, heel) and descend into the squat again for another explosive jump.
Upon landing immediately repeat the next jump.
