2025 was a year of growth, learning, collaboration, and meaningful milestones ✨

From exciting product launches with Eucerin, Galderma, Bioderma, Avène, La Roche-Posay, Glenmark, and CeraVe, to global exposure through international congresses and lab visits in Paris and France, this year reinforced the importance of science-led dermatology and continuous education.

Highlights included attending major dermatology and aesthetics congresses, contributing to conversations on acne and photoprotection, collaborating on evidence-based skincare campaigns, appearing on That Skin Show Podcast, and opening new consulting rooms in Bryanston — all while remaining deeply committed to patient care.

I am especially proud to have supported initiatives beyond the clinic, including the Women for Change GBV campaign, using my platform to advocate for dignity, safety, and wellbeing.
Grateful for the partnerships, patients, colleagues, and communities who made 2025 such a meaningful year. Here’s to continued growth, purpose, and impact in 2026 🤍

Many think eczema is a “winter condition”, but heat and sweating can also trigger flares.

Support your skin by:
🧴Using gentle, fragrance-free moisturisers
👕Choosing breathable fabrics
🥵 Rinsing sweat off the skin
🧼 Avoiding harsh soaps

Compassion + evidence = the best care for sensitive skin.

Today, South Africa marks the Day of Reconciliation — a moment to pause, reflect, and recommit to healing, understanding, and unity.

In healthcare, reconciliation begins with listening, compassion, and equitable access to knowledge and care. As a dermatologist, my work is rooted in restoring not only skin health, but confidence and dignity across all communities.

May this day remind us that healing — whether personal or collective — is a process that requires patience, respect, and intention.

Hyperpigmentation often becomes more noticeable during the summer months. Increased UV exposure stimulates melanin activity, which can darken existing spots and make new pigmentation form more easily.

Here are simple, effective ways to protect your skin this season:
☀️ Apply a broad-spectrum SPF every morning
👒 Wear hats and seek shade during peak sunlight
🌙 Maintain your evening skincare routine consistently
🧴 Use lightweight, non-irritating products to support barrier health

Prevention will always be easier—and more effective—than correction.

Heat rash may be common during our hot South African summers, especially with increased sweating and outdoor activities. simple skincare and cooling measures can make a big difference, but persistent symptoms should be assessed by a dermatologist.

Today, on World AIDS Day, we honour every person living with HIV and everyone affected by it. ❤️‍🩹
As healthcare professionals, compassion must always lead our work. HIV is a medical condition — not a moral one. Stigma has no place in our clinics, our conversations, or our communities.

With the right treatment, support, and dignity, people living with HIV can live long, healthy, fulfilling lives.

What they need most is care, respect, and understanding.

Let’s continue to stand with those infected and affected, challenge stigma wherever we see it, and create spaces where every person feels safe, seen, and supported.

💛 Compassion heals. Kindness protects. Knowledge empowers.

It’s festive season — which means makeup, events, celebrations… and skincare that has to keep up. ✨
If you want your makeup to sit beautifully (and your skin to stay healthy), here are the three non-negotiables you need to clock it this season:

1️⃣ Double cleanse to remove makeup + sunscreen properly
2️⃣ Keep wearing SPF, even under foundation
3️⃣ Moisturise & support your barrier for smooth, glowing makeup
Healthy skin is the look. 💛

Stay protected, stay hydrated, and let your makeup clock every time.

Skincare starts with your cleanser; it’s the foundation of a healthy routine💚.

Which is why I have partnered with to tell you about the hydrating Cleanser, which is one of my favourites to recommend; because it cleanses without stripping, supports your skin barrier, and contains ceramides + hyaluronic acid for lasting hydration🫧💦.

A gentle cleanse can change everything.

Violence against women is not just a social issue; it’s a public health emergency💜

As a dermatologist, I’ve seen how trauma can manifest on the skin; and far beneath it. Healthcare spaces must remain safe, supportive, and survivor-centred.

GBV is preventable. Communities, health systems, and policy-makers must act - loudly, consistently, and urgently. 💜

During these 16 Days of Activism, let’s listen, believe, protect, and advocate.
To every survivor - we see you, we honour you, we stand with you. 💜
