Goal setting is an important aspect of success in all spheres of life 💚
When you set a combination of goals, one way you could mentally break up your bigger and hard-to-reach goals is to use a technique many successful athletes use called chunking. This is setting sub-goals so, when pieced together, help us achieve a longer-term ambition 🤩.

Setting short-term sub-goals boosts out belief and increases our long-term persistence (this is useful feedback we don’t always get when only setting long-term goals). 💪🏽

I will be doing a new series on my page called: ✨ stretch of the week ✨. Every week I will look into a different stretch and define the benefits and targeted muscles.

Stretching can be a very controversial topic around enhancing performance. But what we do know is that stretching will help improve flexibility and therefore your range of motion of the joints. Let’s dive into some of the benefits of stretching:
🧘🏽‍♀️ Can decrease your risk of injury because it helps expand your muscle fibers which in turn increases flexibility; and muscles that are more fluid and pliable are less prone to injury 🤕
🧘🏽‍♀️ It will help stiff joints reach their full range of motion (with consistent stretching) which will increase the function of that joint and improve and maintain the joints integrity 💁🏼‍♀️
🧘🏽‍♀️ Increases muscle blood flow which can be essential during dynamic exercises (which is movement through full range of motion) to ensure an adequate amount of oxygen supply to the active muscles 🏋🏼
🧘🏽‍♀️ Lastly, stretching can be calming and can help alleviate stress and anxiety 💚💚
