Let’s be honest—what many people call “love” is actually fear, guilt, and enabling.

Giving money. Making excuses. Covering up the truth. Letting chaos continue in your home… that is not love. That is helping addiction stay alive.

Real love is not soft when destruction is involved. Real love draws a line and says, “No more.”
No more lies.
No more manipulation.
No more funding self-destruction.

Jesus didn’t sugarcoat truth, and neither should you. Love speaks truth—even when it hurts. Love allows consequences because without them, nothing changes.... AND WHEN NOTHING CHANGES, NOTHING CHANGES....

Boundaries are not cruelty. They are necessary. They are often the very thing God uses to wake someone up.

ENABLING IS NOT LOVE. IT’S DESTRUCTION.

Let’s be honest.
Paying his bills. Making excuses. Covering up his mess. Giving him “one more chance.”
That’s not helping him, that’s helping the addiction.

Every time you rescue him from the consequences, you push recovery further away.
Every time you soften the blow, you strengthen the problem.
Every time you step in, you tell him:
“You don’t have to change.”

Hard truth:
Rock bottom is often the place where real change begins.
And when you keep catching him before he hits it, you may be delaying the very breakthrough that could save his life.
