It is important to be gentle and kind to yourself when you're actively on your healing journey. Healing looks different to each one of us and self-love and self-respect comes in many different forms. Some of these include taking time for yourself, being significantly picky about who is close to you and who is not, and efficient time management.
Being kind to yourself does not, however, excuse poor behaviour. It is so true that each of us is going through our own stuff. Hence, being kind to others is equally important as being kind to ourselves. It is unacceptable to behave unfavorably and then to blame your challenges in life. Challenges can also be positive experience ls ~ as can conflict. The negative connotation attached is not the only perspective we have. What you make with what you have and how you carry yourself as you handle your trials is what matters most. Of course, we all have bad days and that is also okay. But, we cannot be nasty to others in whatever manner, as a result of our life challenges.
Just as the Bible teaches us in I Corinthians 6v12: "I have the right to do anything," you say - but not everything is beneficial. "I have the right to do anything" - but I will not be mastered by anything.
We have to choose our words and actions carefully, as each of these has an effect on us, our lives and on others.
Choose wisely today and allow responsible counsel and support in your life.
