Cervical Cancer Awareness | Energising Our Screening Efforts
Cervical cancer remains a major global and local health challenge.
Globally, it is the fourth most common cause of cancer-related death in women and it remains one of the leading causes of cancer death among women, driven largely by late diagnosis and the co-existence of HIV.
In line with the WHO 90–70–90 cervical cancer elimination strategy, MHC Mobile Clinics is recharging our preventative health programme by with a cervical cancer screening programme to strengthen early detection and access:
90 – HPV vaccination for girls
70 – Screening of women using a high-performance HPV DNA test
90 – Timely treatment and care for those with positive results
Early detection saves lives l Access saves lives l Action saves lives
