ACE inhibitors ✨
Angiotensin 2 causes vasoconstriction and an increase in blood pressure, so ACE inhibitors block the conversion of angiotensin 1 to angiotensin 2. ACE inhibitors should not be taken with angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs).
Side effects include hypotension, taste disturbances, skin rash, angio-oedema and palpitations.
