Become a Certified Access Bars® Practitioner and learn a powerful hands-on technique used by wellness professionals worldwide to support relaxation, reduce anxiety, increase mental clarity, and support stress reduction.

Through THRIVE’s practitioner training, you receive more than just certification. The training is designed to help you confidently begin working with people, supported by practitioner integration guidance, access to our wellness co-working space, and access to a growing network connecting practitioners to paid wellness initiatives within companies, schools, and community programmes.

As the largest Access Bars training centre in South Africa, THRIVE offers regular training across three major regions: Johannesburg, Cape Town, and KwaZulu-Natal, making it easier for students to access training and stay connected to a supportive practitioner community.

The investment for this internationally recognised certification is R5,450.

Many practitioners charge between R700 – R850 for a 45–60 minute session, meaning your training can realistically pay for itself within your first few sessions, while giving you a professional skill you can use for years to come.

Not everything needs fixing. Not everything needs to be analysed. And not everything needs a solution. Some things simply need to be released. Letting go isn’t giving up, it’s choosing peace over pressure and trust over control.

Many people remain emotionally and mentally tense because they believe they must stay in control to cope. This constant internal effort keeps the nervous system activated. Access Bars sessions support the release of stored mental and emotional charge, allowing the body and mind to let go without force. Clients often describe feeling lighter, less reactive, and less emotionally burdened after sessions.

Through my own journey and in working with others, I’ve seen how easily control can become a coping mechanism, especially for those who are capable, caring, and used to holding things together. Many of us don't need support because something is “broken,” but because we feel emotionally full, mentally overloaded, or tired of carrying so much. Access Bars isn’t about 'fixing problems' or forcing change. It’s about creating the conditions for the nervous system to release what it no longer needs to hold on to, often before the mind even knows what to let go of. When that internal effort softens, clarity and emotional ease tend to follow naturally...

Imagine a space in your mind where there is no urgency.
No pressure to figure things out.
No need to be productive, positive, or ‘on’.
Just space.
Sometimes clarity doesn’t come from answers; it comes from giving the mind room to breathe...

Under sustained stress, the nervous system remains in a heightened state of alert. The mind stays busy not because something is wrong, but because it is trying to protect by anticipating, analysing, and preparing. Access Bars sessions are designed to support the nervous system in shifting out of this constant vigilance. When this happens, people often report a natural sense of mental space, quiet, and relief, not because they tried to stop thinking, but because the internal pressure reduced.

In my work with clients, this heightened mental state often shows up in very ordinary, easy-to-miss ways. People say things like, “I slept, but I still feel exhausted,” or “I rested all weekend and still feel overwhelmed.” Others quietly admit, “I can’t remember the last time my mind felt quiet.” Many believe they are resting, yet their minds remain busy by scrolling, replaying conversations, planning, or worrying. The body may pause, but the nervous system often stays on high alert. Over time, this constant internal pressure becomes normalised, even though it leaves people feeling depleted and mentally crowded. Creating space isn’t about switching life off; it’s about allowing the nervous system to soften so everyday challenges feel more manageable rather than overwhelming.

Some days arrive quietly… and then suddenly take your breath away.

Yesterday was one of those days...

I don’t often share personal reflections like this on social media. I’ve tended to keep Thrive’s journey polished and professional on the surface. But lately, I’ve been wondering if that needs to change. There is so much depth, heart, and humanity behind this beautiful space, and in not sharing that, I may be doing my own journey, and the journey of those walking this path with me a disservice. Which brings me to today’s share.

What people often don’t see behind the scenes is that Thrive is so much more than a wellness hub. It’s a family. A Thrive Family. Built over time through trust, shared values, and walking this journey together, especially with those who have been with us from day dot.

Keshia is one of those souls. Our ray of sunshine, spreading her beautiful energy wherever she goes. She offers deep, soulful transformation and has been part of Thrive since the very beginning. We are truly blessed to have had her choose this space as one of our very first tenants, and even more blessed by the light and consistency she continues to bring into it✨

Another part of this journey, and one that continually reaffirms why Thrive exists, is witnessing the diversity and depth of modalities that move through this space. Each one adds its own frequency, intention, and impact.

One such experience is 9D Breathwork, facilitated by the incredibly heart-centred Carey Fisher. She offers something truly breathtaking and, in my view, a breakthrough approach to personal transformation!✨

I had the opportunity to join her class yesterday, and the experience was honestly out of this world. Today, I feel lighter. Freer. I was able to release deep-seated emotions I didn’t even realise I had been carrying, some for many years. It was profound, grounding, and deeply liberating!!💚

And then came the moment that anchored my heart completely... watching my daughter’s interactions with everyone who moved through the space. To see how deeply she loves, values, and honours what Thrive stands for at such a young age was truly special. It fills me with immense pride and a quiet hope for a brighter future for every life she will touch along her journey. Like every parent, especially a single parent like myself, one often wonders if we are doing enough and if we are getting any of it right... today I'm filled with the possibility that I just might be❤

Some days remind you that what you’re building is so much bigger than a business.
It’s a living, breathing legacy.
