Labour has a way of reminding us… we are never fully in control 🤍
She left home with strong contractions, only for things to slow on arrival. Trusting her body, she returned home — and not long after, came back ready. This time, there was no waiting… everything unfolded beautifully and quickly.
With her midwife Ruwaida by her side, her mom and husband holding her through every wave, she brought her baby into the world with strength and grace.
A beautiful little princess arrived, just as the rain softly poured outside 🌧️✨
The room turned cosy with a warm breakfast, a nurturing full-body massage by Raeesah, and gentle postpartum care from midwife Princess before heading home — held, supported, and deeply cared for 🤍

From our welcoming admin staff to our experienced midwives and doulas, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Our extended team includes GPs, a physiotherapist, paediatricians, a referral obstetrician & gynaecologist, as well as emergency transfer services — ensuring you receive safe, comprehensive care throughout your pregnancy and birth journey.

💙 Cesarean Awareness Month 💙

At Birth on 5th, we support natural, midwife-led birth for low-risk pregnancies — but we also recognise that birth can be unpredictable, and sometimes a transfer to hospital and a cesarean section may be the safest option for mom and baby.

Some reasons a transfer may be recommended include:
• Labour not progressing as expected
• Signs of fetal distress
• Prolonged rupture of membranes without active labour
• Maternal health concerns during labour
• Situations where additional medical support is needed

Our priority is always safe, informed care. When a transfer is needed, it is done with clear communication and established backup systems to ensure seamless, timely care.

Every birth journey is valid — and every decision is made with the wellbeing of both mother and baby at heart. 🤍

Mum welcomed her second baby boy—and her first at Birth on 5th.
Her labour was beautifully quick and powerful. Just a few hours after birth, she was ready to head home—rested, supported, and in her own space with her newborn.
Supported throughout by midwives Ayanda and Princess, alongside trainee doula, Nazeera from —an incredible team for a truly incredible mum. 💙✨

Every labour is different, and this little princess was a true reminder of that. With baby showing signs the day before, everyone waited in anticipation… but she came exactly when she was ready — just as babies should.
In a room filled with calm, mum laboured silently and gracefully, trusting her body every step of the way.
A quiet, special moment in the journey — a visit from a 'go away' - Grey Lourie bird throughout the day — almost as if nature paused to witness the beauty unfolding. It screamed “gaa-waaay!” to all visitor's almost holding her space until baby was born.
With lots of natural stimulation and gentle encouragement, supported by doula Raeesah and Habiba, labour unfolded just as it needed to. Patience and continuous support from midwife Ruwaida, alongside second midwife Kelly, guided mum through both birth and the postpartum period.
And after it all, a soothing massage by Raeesah brought a moment of rest — her gentle exhale after the beautiful work of bringing life into the world.

✨ A first-time mama, a powerful birth, a pure delight ✨
This first-time mom was an absolute joy — her petite frame carried incredible strength as she welcomed her gorgeous little princess into the world 💗
With focused determination and powerful pushing, she birthed beautifully — no tearing, just trust in her body and the preparation she committed to throughout her antenatal journey 🌿
Surrounded by unwavering love, her family played such a meaningful role — offering encouragement, excitement, and a powerful sense of support that carried her through every moment 🤍
Our Royal Primi package allowed for a gentle transition into motherhood — an 8-hour postpartum stay, a couples meal, and a soothing full-body massage to encourage rest and recovery ✨
She was lovingly supported by her midwife .moola, supporting midwife .movement, and doula — a true team effort 🤝
And what a welcome it was… family arrived in joyful numbers to meet their first grandbaby, filling the space with love and showering the team with thoughtful gifts 🎁

✨ Sometimes the safest journey includes a change in path ✨
There are moments in birth where, despite everyone’s best efforts, a transfer becomes the safest option for both mom and baby 🤍
During labour, it became clear that baby needed a little extra support. Mom was safely transferred by ambulance for hospital care, where she continued her journey. After a long labour there, she went on to welcome her gorgeous new arrival 🌿
While transfers can bring uncertainty, anxiety, and even disappointment, this mama showed incredible strength and understanding — trusting the process and prioritising safety above all else 💫
We are so grateful she allowed us to share a glimpse of her journey, and so happy that both mom and baby are well.
A different path, but a beautiful ending — and that’s what matters most 🤍

Holding her husband’s hand, she gathered her strength… and with just 3 powerful pushes, baby arrived earthside 🌿
