Mama’s last labour was fast, so a quicker birth was expected this time too. With pre-labour pressure the day before, she was admitted already 6 cm dilated. Yet, as the day unfolded, contractions eased despite movement, positioning, bouncing and walking.
With calm, continuous support from doula Raeesah, labour was allowed the time it needed. As evening approached, contractions naturally intensified and progressed into active labour.
Our little prince was welcomed well into the evening through a calm, gentle water birth into the awaiting arms of midwife Ruwaida — a powerful reminder that labour does not follow a timetable. Every labour is unique, unpredictable, and deserves patience and trust.
Postpartum care continued with midwife Princess. As part of the Royal Princess package, mum welcomed a massage and plenty of TLC — because care doesn’t end at birth 🤍

✨A Beautiful Birth Story 👑
We welcomed a precious little princess into the world 🤍
Mum envisioned a peaceful, calm birth away from the hospital — and that is exactly what unfolded. Her journey culminated in a gentle water birth, with her midwife@ayanda_ngidi411 lovingly assisting as this sweet princess was welcomed earthside.
Her partner stood strong and steady by her side, with Sister Princess forming part of the beautiful birth team. Mum was incredible throughout, and after the birth she was able to rest and restore before making her way home later that day.
At Birth on 5th, with doula Philile, every detail of mum’s care was thoughtfully attended to — including a full-body massage as part of her package, plenty of TLC, a range of warm beverages provided and nurturing support throughout.
Thank you, mum, for allowing us the honour of walking this sacred journey with you as you welcomed a new member into your beautiful family 🤍✨

✨🎉OUR FIRST BABY OF 2026 HAS ARRIVED!🎉✨
What a magical way to begin the year! A gorgeous baby princess made her grand entrance, weighing 3230g of pure perfection 💕
Mum was nothing short of exceptional— arriving in active labour and gently birthing soon after, surrounded by the unwavering love and support of her mum and husband, with the calm, guiding hands of Midwife Princess & the quiet love of a sister-in-law all the way from Pietermaritzburg 🤍✨
After birth, mum soaked in a long, relaxing bath before feeding her precious bundle as the morning light filled the space 🌅💞
Then came the spoils — a delicious breakfast, a full-body massage, and plenty of pampering, including a Birth on 5th bag-camper and an imported outfit, specially gifted for our very first 2026 arrival 🎁✨
Her name could not be more perfect — meaning“Light”, beautifully aligned with her birth time and the glowing morning sunrise 🌞

An incredibly beautiful and strong mum who placed deep trust in her body and in midwife-led care 🤍
At 40 weeks + 10 days, she held steady in faith, patiently waiting to meet her little one on 5th.
Following a consented gentle cervical stretch and sweep, contractions began and active labour soon unfolded. Before the night had passed, we welcomed a stunning princess into the world, weighing a powerful 4020 g💕👶🏽
Mum was beautifully supported by her birth team:
Midwife Ruwaida, doula Shahzadee, doula Raeesa, and supporting midwife Phumi.
Mum stayed with us overnight and headed home the next day after nourishing meals and the massage she had been most excited about 🌸
Warm baths, hot showers, relaxing massages, and hands-on, heart-led care—this is what we offer.
And the sweetest moment of all… big sister, brimming with excitement, finally picking up her new arrival 💞

Well done to this beautiful first-time mum!
Mum travelled all the way from Limpopo to have her baby with us 🤍
This little princess made sure she stayed past her due date, playing hide and seek for two days before active labour began.
After all the preparation and a long latent phase, labour shifted beautifully and progressed quickly with the steady, loving support of her amazing doula,Philile.
Baby was born gently underwater, straight into the hands of midwife Ruwaida, and welcomed by mum, dad, and the calm presence of midwife Kelly, who held the space so beautifully.
She arrived pink, peaceful, and deeply loved — and just like that, a woman became a mother.
A powerful, calm beginning for thisfirst-time mum & her family 🤍✨
