When a mother’s waters break before labour begins, it’s always about allowing her body the time to unfold naturally while ensuring the safest possible arrival for both mum and baby. 🤍
With the fear of needing a transfer after many hours, this mama stayed active and trusted the process as we closely monitored both her and baby throughout the day. With gentle support, reassurance, antibiotic cover, and regular check-ins, baby remained beautifully happy.
As evening approached, labour began naturally and she returned to the birth facility. Warm lights, the calming touch of her doula, and holding her husband’s hands through each wave helped the oxytocin flow beautifully.
A bath was filled to fulfil her dream of a water birth. Mum powered through the last stretch and soon we welcomed a precious little princess earthside. ✨
Such a beautiful reminder of how capable the body is, and just how strong women truly are.
A warm late-night meal, a soothing massage, and an overnight stay made the experience even more special. 🤍

Walking, swaying, rocking on a birth ball, lunging, upright positions and changing positions regularly can help create space within the pelvis and encourage effective contractions.

On a crisp icy morning, we welcomed a precious 3.7kg baby boy into the world. The room was overflowing with love, laughter, and unwavering support as dad and granny remained by mum’s side throughout her journey.
Mum laboured with incredible strength — marching through contractions to encourage progress, surrendering to the warmth of the birthing bath, and finally gently birthing her baby. Her midwife sister Ruwaida, stood beside her, while her doula Raeesah offered constant encouragement and reassurance every step of the way.
After birth, mum was treated to one of the special comforts that Birth on 5th offers all mothers — a soothing postnatal massage, a restful night’s sleep, and breakfast the next morning before heading home as a newly grown family. 🤍
