As I take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey and my work at U-ACT, I am filled with Pride, Gratitude, and Awe. Our Organization's unwavering commitment to creating Global Recovery Capital has yielded remarkable Achievements, transforming countless lives and communities worldwide. Accredited by the ICR Coach Register | certified professional coaches and registered in South Africa, UK and Netherlands with CPD registration for continual professional development.
*A Milestone of Training and Empowerment:*
We've rolled our 37 Peer Recovery Specialist Training programmes,I have facilitated over 20 Professional Recovery Coach Trainings, trained over 2000 students, certifying 200 of them in the process. This milestone represents more than just numbers; it symbolizes Hope, Resilience, and the Power of Lived Experience. Our Training programs have equipped individuals with the skills and confidence to support others on their Recovery journeys.
*Capacity Building and Global Reach:*
Our Recovery Coach Training programs have been rolled out in numerous countries, including the USA, Australia, New Zealand, UK, South Africa, Botswana, Philippines, India, Uganda, and Zambia, just to name a few. This global expansion demonstrates our dedication to spreading Recovery Capital and Empowering local communities.
*Strategic Partnerships:*
We've forged meaningful partnerships with like-minded organizations such as , Damien Ross Dot Smith Paula Perkusic Birger and Buddhi Lokuge Jim St Johnston Collaborations with Nikki Edwards Foundation Clinic Addiction Recovery Solutions, HarmonyHouse, Attie Buren and Homeless Ministries have led to the co-creation of valuable robust containers and developing a Culture of Learning, enriching our Training programs.
*Upskilling and Empowerment:*
By Training staff in various Treatment centers globally, we've helped amplify the impact of Recovery Support services. Our facilitators have been instrumental in driving this Growth, ensuring our Mission reaches far and wide.
U-ACT's Core vision – To Train, Empower and Treat, creating Global Recovery Capital by upskilling people with lived experience – has become a tangible Reality. We've Empowered individuals to leverage their experiences and skillsets, adding value and support to individuals, families and communities worldwide.
As I celebrate seven remarkable years, I acknowledge the tireless efforts of our Team, Partners, Coaches and Trainees. Together, we've Cultivated a Global Movement, fostering a Culture of Recovery and Growth, Hope, and Empowerment. Here's to many more years of Transformative impact!
U-ACT offers internationally accredited (addiction) recovery coach and peer recovery specialist training to those wanting to work as private coaches or in treatment- and community settings. Coach- and peer specialist training takes place in Johannesburg and Cape Town, and online.
