There is no doubt that alcoholism and substance abuse is a stigmatised and shameful topic. Many people that I have worked with have struggled with the shame and guilt that this problem evokes. Even knowing someone can mean judgement and skinner in our South African society, and society at large.

Romy’s Reiki

Last year August I started this adventure with Romy’s Reiki. It seemed a bit slow, and is still taking a minute to get off the ground. This time I don’t mind as much as all the other times I tried new things because I really love what I do. The interactions that I have with people here and there while doing this practice is incredibly rewarding. I have some time on my hands, and decided to dedicate this precious time on rounding off the little details on my social media account. My mentor, Angela Whitehouse from Angel’s Touch has brought me all the way to Reiki Master and assisted me in claiming my Mastership.

There are many exciting and fun ways to step into a self fulfilling journey of spiritual growth. I was never really much interested in many of these things prior to 2018. As in most people’s experience, once an earth shattering loss touches one’s life, sometimes it wakes you up and you become a great deal more aware of what can be achieved with openmindedness.
