Our social worker, Raylene Kazadi, facilitated a World AIDS Awareness Day at Netcare Olivedale Hospital. This allowed the opportunity to communicate with staff, patients and their families in order to raise awareness into the much stigmatized HIV / AIDS.
HIV / AIDS has an emotional impact on those affected, thus Raylene educated the staff and patients on counseling opportunities and the role of a social worker within the hospital.
