We are proud to share our Student Social Worker Community Work project at Netcare Rosebank Hospital with nursing staff in the ICU and Rehabilitation Wards.

The following topics were addressed:
Understanding compassion fatigue
Empathetic communication

Our ability to provide the best possible service to patients is directly linked to our own well-being. When we prioritize our mental health and equip ourselves with a deeper understanding of mental health challenges, we are better positioned to empathize, support, and care for our patients effectively.

🌈 [ C O M M U N I T Y ] Work Project 🎨

We are proud to share our Student Social Worker Comminity Work project at Clinix Hospital, titled Colours of Recovery: Integrating Art into Patient Wellness.

The project revived the hospital’s art initiative by hosting weekly art workshops for patients, leading up to a final gallery display of their creative work. Through art, patients found space for self-expression, emotional release, and hope on their recovery journey.

The project focused on three goals:
✅ Task: Deliver engaging workshops that enhanced patient well-being.
✅ Relationship: Build collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and trust with patients.
✅ Process: Create a sustainable, patient-centered framework for art in wellness care.

This initiative highlighted the healing power of creativity in recovery. 💙
