Congratultaions Laryne Jefferies on setting a new South African record!!

Laryne, one of our patients, recently competed in the Senior African Weightlifting Championship in Tunisia earlier this month.

"I finished 4th in the female 71kg category. It is one of the most competitive categories as it is an Olympic weight category.

It was a close battle for third but I gave it my best and learned alot. Nerves were high but definitely one of my favorite competition experiences.

Finished with an 86g sn**ch and 106kg clean and jerk.

86kg is a new South African sn**ch record for the F71 category"

Heinrich Vermaak, a visually impaired athlete recently competed in the Sun City Triathlon and swam his fasted 600m! Congratulations on all your progress, hard work and dedication - your truly are inspiration!

H Vermaak: "It was great race intensity training. Quite tough with very long transitions however with the help of Gavin from VIP Sports and Tyla from Tyla BK, I did my strongest 600m swim in a Ultra and one of my best cycle times. The run still needs some work but with the help of Gavin’s coaching and Tyla’s treatment, I will get there. The best part of going to Tyla is my recovery now days is much shorter which means I can give more during my training sessions."
