What a joy to see the excitement and determination of these two 8 year old friends who both recently received their first motorised wheelchairs on an outreach clinic!

They were looking forward to going independently to the shops and getting around at school, without needing a friend to push them.

We asked one of the recipients how her wheelchair feels, she replied with 'just how I wanted it to'. 💙

Introducing our Team at Prana Kids:

I am Dr Natasha Padayachee-Govender, a Paediatrician practicing at Life Fourways Hospital for the past 7 years.
I provide individualized care and management for your child’s and family’s specific needs.
To me, being a Paediatrician is privilege that is not without its challenges. It affords us the unique opportunity to be there in a child’s times of distress and do all that we can to allow for healing, comfort and care.

Sister Lisa Park is our wonderful new addition, bringing in nearly 20 years of Nursing experience to help our practice help you and your family better.

Kirstey Black is our friendly medical receptionist and assistant. She will guide and advise on our processes and direct you to the help and support needed.

Our team aims to practice Neonatal and Paediatric management with experienced knowledge and proficiency complimented with love, compassion and care.

WHAT WE DO:
Sick child visits (Book as needed)
Healthy child visits (Book in advance) -
(as a guide: at 6 weeks, 3, 6, 9, 12 & 18 months and then yearly from 2 years)
Management of chronic conditions:
Asthma
Epilepsy
Nutritional concerns
Developmental Issues
Any other chronic illness

Birth attendance as well as the management of unwell babies and children in hospital (wards and Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care)
