Dear Clients,

Our donor, USAID, has served the Wits RHI Key Populations Programme a notice to pause programme implementation. As of close of business tomorrow, Tuesday 28 January, we are unable to provide services until further notice. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and remain committed to your health and well-being.

PrEP could be your bestie if you’re::

✅ HIV negative.
✅ Having s*x without a condom or seeing multiple boos.
✅ In a relationship with someone living with HIV.
✅ Injecting drugs or sharing needles.

Then PrEP might be right for you! Taking one pill a day significantly reduces your risk of getting HIV. And remember, it’s just one part of a holistic approach to s*xual health.

Drop by your nearest Wits Trans Health Centre for more information, counselling, and to start your PrEP journey. Let’s work together to protect your health!

We extend our deepest sympathies to the Sebidi family, friends, and the inters*x community for the loss of a true hero whose remarkable efforts have changed countless lives.

It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the passing of Dimakatso ‘Garfield’ Sebidi, who was a trailblazing advocate. Over the past decade, Garfield courageously championed inters*x rights, shattering stigma and inspiring a generation of activists.
Iranti is fortunate to have worked with them on numerous projects, where they shared their passion for the advocacy of inters*x rights.
Our heartfelt condolences to the Sebidi family, friends and the inters*x community who have lost a true hero whose efforts have transformed countless lives.
May Garfield forever live on in our hearts.

Sis, your meds are your magic! Let’s make 2025 the year of slaying your health goals. Here’s how to keep it together on ART or PrEP:

💊 Pop that pill daily – Set reminders, alarms, or whatever keeps you consistent. Ask our team about MMD (multi-month dispensing) to keep your meds stocked so you can stay in control.
💧 Routine realness – Even when life’s messy, find your groove.
⏰ Beauty sleep – Get your 7-9 hours because a queen needs her rest.
💪 Get moving – Shake it up with a walk or dance-off to boost your vibes.
💖 De-stress, boo – Journaling, deep breaths, or spilling the tea with your fave? Whatever works, do that!

And we’ve got your back. Pop in or call us for some love and encouragement!

Wits RHI Trans Women Health Centre

Widespread stigma and discrimination against key population members limit their access to clinics within our communities. The Wits RHI Key Populations Programme aims to reduce the incidence and impact of HIV in South Africa through HIV prevention, care and treatment services for Key Populations.

Our goal is to increase accessibility, acceptability and uptake of services at our safe spaces, in the community and at fixed clinics. We have 4 transgender clinics around South Africa: Johannesburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and in East London

We offer HIV testing and counselling; PrEP and ART initiation; condoms and lubrication, TB & STI screening and treatment together with management of minor related ailments. We are funded by USAID

Your health is your happiness. You deserve it!
