SEVEN years 🎊 Two weeks ago, quietly hit this special milestone.

Entrepreneurship isn’t a straight line - but every challenge has shaped this practice into what it is. Standing here 7 years later, I can say with certainty that it was all worth it and has grown in ways I could never have imagined.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted, referred to and supported this practice - you’re the reason we’re still here and growing.

Here’s to many more years ahead: more growth, partnerships and meaningful opportunities. Thank you God 🙏🏾🙏🏾

🧠 The tight hamstring paradox explained: Ever wondered why your hamstrings feel tight even though you stretch them but relief only lasts for a short period of time and why there is no real difference over time despite repeating it over and over?

🦿 The neurological tension from weakness creates the sensation of tightness. Your nervous system increases muscle tons to protect against the load your hamstring cannot handle. Stretching temporarily reduces the neural drive while strengthening increases the capacity so your body doesn’t need to guard.

🎯 In short, you want to build your hamstring strength (eccentric focus), improve your movement patterns and add mobility work. Treat the cause, not just the symptom.

🍑 The gluteus medius is one of three glute muscles and a prime mover in hip joint abduction. It also stabilises the pelvis in sports activities such as walking, running, soccer, and thus an important muscle to train.

🚨 An indication that your glute medius needs work is when your hip drops from standing on one leg.

📌 This muscles stability can happen through recruiting the hips as dynamic stabilisers to allow the coordination and strength of the glute medius to come into play and less compensation from other muscles.

🔌 This post looks at a few exercises that can be used for strength and/or firing of the glute medius muscles for improved hip control, strength and stability. It is always recommended that one should consult the necessary practitioner should you suspect that you have any of the above systems for proper and accurate diagnosis
